Ahh I get ya now. Would this work with other things such as Hulu?

Generally, yes. One thing it won't work with is BBC iPlayer abroad. The BBC track down proxies ruthlessly.

Hulu works excellent with some DNS wizardry, my neighbor set up a 2nd router that he runs through an US DNS service. Things connected through router 1 - US IP address, things connected through router 2 - Swedish IP address. It's a pretty cool setup.

That's clever and has just given me an idea for home because our main WiFi router from the ISP is shit and I had to install a second, nice one @Lakih

Loads of films mentioned already.
These are kind of figure it out films:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Sixth Sense
Seven

Not even heard of following, thanks.

Identity is another good one if anyone hasn't seen it.

I'll be honest, I own it but have never watched it. It seems like a 'figure it out' on the surface but that's my guess. Seems to be well received too.

The Usual Suspects, but I fully expect that everyone has already seen this.

My brother is a huge Saw fan and says the final chapter(film #7 or something) is a major "haha we've fucked your brain!" film. I dunno... After the third one I was kinda done with it

I figured out Saw in the first minute. I've not bothered with any of the sequels. Just a contrived excuse for gore.

Some good suggestions otherwise on this thread.

It is a sort of figure it out, twisty type thing but I do agree from perhaps 2 thirds in its just a funny film. Sam Rockwell ftw!

Also an old but brilliant mind fuck film is Angel Heart.

Edit - I'm on a roll now....

I know you will of seen this one babs but Oldboy (original not the bloody Hollywood remake) is astounding. Now you See Me is good, Prisoners is amazing, Shutter Island, Mystic River, Orphan.

I second Angel Heart , one of my all time favourites. Couple of others that benefit an attentive viewing;

Jacob's Ladder
Life of PI
Book of Eli

and I can't believe no one has mentioned Fight Club or Sixth Sense - guess they'll have almost certainly been seen.

One good one not mentioned is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Dysfunction mentioned it a few posts up chap :)

If anyone does like attentive viewing then give Triangle a watch. Much can be gotten if you watch the opening sequence again immediately after watching the film.

Must have missed it - ironic given we are talking about paying attention to stuff!

Bah I was going to say Identity (assuming you're talking about the one with John Cusack). I just saw it last night, it was excellent.

This is actually a great film with Ray Liotta in it as well. He always ups the nostalgic value for me somehow.

Trance was good as well bablar.

Slightly above average but nothing we haven't seen before aka memorywipe/trance/loss of memory etc etc.

Ray Liotta is always reliable. I don't think I've ever seen a film with John Cusack that I didn't like. His sister is very talented too, in Arlington Road and the US version of Shameless (which is excellent) among others.
