I had a model of that back in the 80s my grand parents were on holiday near kenedy space centre and saw the first shuttle go up. Bought it back as a gift i think.

I'd say that wasn't photoshopped at all, apart from the dramatic light / cloud combo it's a fairly standard alpine image.

I think for a mountain shot like that you need a bit of "drama" in a picture otherwise it looks quite bland.
