OK but I remember the first time I went for a piss after chopping chillies and touched my bell-end. That was intense!

How did you cook the bacon?

Place the bacon on a baking tray. Turn oven on to 200C. No preheating oven. Put bacon in oven. Take out after 15 to 20 mins.

Easy.

I always fry. That didn’t look fried.

No m8. Metal baking tray. Cover with foil. Bacon on top. Doesn't stick at all. Perfect bacon everytime.

By pouring the left over oil into a hot pan :)

By oven cooking it the rind goes nice and crispy but the meat stays nice and moist.

But if you fry it it is 100x tastier, and much quicker to boot.

I'm willing to test this theory tonight. With pictures. I suspect if you bake on tin foil the bacon still sits in fat, so is the same as frying - but people claim bacon fried isn't as moist as bacon baked, but the fat is just as crispy - so the potential for better bacon is clear.

@Raven / @Wij / @dysfunction / @Lamp - optimum settings for the oven, including any pre-heat time, per favore. I'll take an average of your different preferences and try it.

I'm not listed but hey!

I preheat the oven to 200 celsius, cover a baking tray with tin foil and curve up the edges ever so slightly to avoid the fat sneaking underneath, lay bacon on the tray then throw in the oven. I've just got a new oven and it seems to be cooking it quicker so I start checking the bacon after 10 minutes (depends on the thickness of the bacon) one it's the colour you like take it out and munch! my preference is Applewood smoked bacon! My gran does hers on a rack so all the fat drips into the foil below, it all tastes the same to me :p

Length of preheating time? :)

In fact, I want this off people:
If ovening
A) Oven temperature
B) Length of preheating time (if any)
C) Type of tin foil
D) turn up tin foil edges or not?
E) time of first checking (if multiple checks)
F) hard cut-off time.

If frying
G) How hot do you get your frying pan
H) Oil/butter or no?
I) er...

I'm buying bacon tonight on my way home. Going to have a bacon sarnie. Will get some eggs and sausages. That'll be breakfast tomorrow morning.

Pretty much this but I like my bacon quite crispy so may leave it a bit longer.
