Going into a golf shop to discuss making some adjustments to my irons, potentially even buying a new set, to be told that he wouldn't sell me another set the same brand I have (Nike) as they were "garbage".

Interesting sales technique. And good to know I've been playing quite successfully with garbage clubs for 12 years!

This was a local driving range - the golf equivalent of PC World (American Golf) were actually quite decent yesterday - they wouldn't adjust my current irons as they were too old, which the local place would, but after he gave me his thoughts on my current set (all Nike except my putter) I'm not inclined to give him any money except for a bucket of balls.
