samsung touchwiz has already been improved on its original release, Missus got her S4 updated about two weeks ago and the only way to mute the phone was to go into settings, lower all volumes and turn vibration down to zero

my S4 Active got updated yesterday and I have a mute button :D

but yes the touchwiz sucks, ive been playing with stock lollipop at work and its much nicer (and has a great deal less fluff/bloatware)

2 hrs for an eye test and to choose glasses frames. I hate it. And Specsavers cannot do photochromatic lenses in rimless frames. How stupid. ( usually wear contacts, have really old glasses as the last ones I got from Boots I couldn't see thro!)

Specsavers are shit that's why. Go to an independent optometrist and get the specs that you want.

And ordered 6 cosmetic items from the US. Collected tiny lightweight parcel and am charged over £12, not customs or VAT but post office handling. What a rip off. And they've only sent 2 as that's all they had. So where is the bloody refund??

Have been using an opthamologist for 20yrs but he's retired. Used to get specs from DnH but they messed it up so often that decided Specsavers couldn't be any worse. They are ok for my contacts.

Can you get your eyes lazered off the bat?

I've not had my eyes tested for like 10 years, and I'm definitely short sighted.

It would probably be cheaper getting a loan and getting my eyes lazered straight away rather than spending hundreds on glasses

i think once your prescription has been stable for a few years they are ok with lasers

My sight seems to continue to get worse :/

i worked out once that from a purely cash perspective getting my eyes lasered would take decades to pay back (i get a new pair of glasses once every 3-4 years and usually get the buy one get one free deal so 2 pairs i guess) - but quality of life wise i think it would be massive

its been so long since ive not had to wear glasses or contacts that i barely remember what its like :p

You probably need glasses or more lazering later on as even though you had lazer done. Your eyes still change after it.

Yes you can but it depends on what sort of sight defects you have. I have odd shaped eyes so lasering could only fix so much.

Mate of mine had really bad eyesight, got 'em lasered and didn't have to wear glasses for ten years (better eyesight than his daughter) - and now he's back on prescription lenses but they're still less strong than his old prescription.

Whichever way you look at it - lasers = win.

And the cheap 600 quid options are only for the very easy fixes. Usually costs a lot more.

Friend of mine went to South Africa to get his done cheaper

Cost my mate less than a couple of grand for the pair. Saved more than that in glasses and had ten years hassle-free.

Cheap at twice the price tbfh.

No ones getting a lazer near my eyes. I don't mind glasses.

I figured it might be an emotional decision rather than a cold hard facts one :)

Fair enough. Some people really don't like the idea of it. My mate, on the other hand, spent an hour with his head resting on some nice nurse's boobs and was in the pub an hour after that!

I want to get mine done, but one of my friends told me that you can't have it done after 40. This was just after he had gone to have his done and they couldn't do it as he had a problem with one of his eyes, so I don't know if he was just pissed that he couldn't have it and dint want me to get it done

My eyes are fine, but I would like to sign up for the boobie pillow pls
The dentist I used to go to had an assistant that would sit right next to my head with her boobies at eye level, I think they did it to distract the patients.

Oh and Happy Birthday @mooSe_

TV. Agreed to watch The walking dead with wife. Constant adverts for shit I have no interest in and will never buy. What's the point in ruining the To program? Officially the last time I ever watch a scheduled drama show.
