I quit around 5-6 years ago now, but i used to smoke quite a lot. Hardest thing you will ever do but so so worth it.
Dont give in to temptation and try to stay away from environments where you will be gagging for a smoke, i.e Pubs, clubs etc, at least till the cravings start to subside a bit.

well i am the king, because i have managed to quit so many times, and then just to prove it wasnt lucky the first time i started again, and then stopped again, but i still wasnt sure if i REALLY could quit, so i started again, then stopped, then started.....i was stopping and starting like an old Ford Princess...

Currently i am stopped(again), but for how long???

Thanks. Any idiot can see the flaw in your argument. I've never smoked because I wanted to be "cool". People who have never smoked can't even try to understand why other people smoke. If one hasn't tried it for a reasonable period of time (ie. long enough to get addicted mentally and physically) they have nothing to say really. I tried smoking out of curiosity and it never had anything to do with social preasure from friends or anyone else. Maybe i'm different in that case, but don't generalise. Twat.

It's quite the opposite here, people who don't smoke are the cool ones, and every single smoking person I know wants to quit. Smoking is extremely stupid and I have every intention of quitting soon since I've done it before and know I can do it.

Big congratulations Ala, it sure is a wonderful feeling (after a while), hope you can stay smoke free for good now

What I do find helps take my mind off having a cigarette is a quick flash back to the photo I saw of a massive tumor in a lung caused by smoking. Seems to work quite well. Add to that a generous helping of chewy lollies and teh cravings simply melt away!

bollox, the majority of ppl smoke because they want to "fit in" and "be cool"

You are in a different situation maybe, or you might want to start an argument whichever, fact is most ppl got into smoking because their friends did or they wanted to feel "more grown up" if u think thats wrong then u need to take that dirty dildo out of ur arse.
