Question - does the weapon power scale affect multiplay?

There is an option for changing the weapon power - does this only take effect if you are hosting or does it affect you when you join a server? Ie. if you leave it on 3 and other players have it on 10 do you become their cannon fodder?

No, in a multiplayer game the rules are set at the server and client settings are ignored.
