I think best plan for infiltrators et al - have a confined space for the duels - noone's allowed to leave it. Start at a particular range. This way they can't faff about in stealth forever.

This would be different for the caster duels obviously

I'd say put friars in a category of their own if there's enough - if not then they're going to hurt in the tank competition (those self-buffs are pretty damned mean)

yeah check my sig, there is a fixed space in arena - in practice the ns duels both duelists stealthed and went after each other. duel's lasted like under a minute lol

caster's duels gonna b tough to do but like i said if enough sign up that's cool

they will be on their own- that way we get a best friar winner and a best overall melee type champ thang - winners of pro & am tourney to go into final tourney (your choice ofc)

ok let's clarify something

reactives - procs & dds are allowed...the only thing u aint allowed are charges - af buffs, self hastes etc..stuff that u have to turn on during/before the fight

so a dot PROC on a weapon is fine

if ur weapon had a dex/qui debuff CHARGE or somit that wouldnt be allowed

the idea behind the NO CHARGES rule is that no one artificially enchances their class beyond their own self buffs or starts firing fireballs at someone else whenever they feel like (ie to get the final hit in) but if something PROCS then good for u

remember ablatives are cool too if u have them

skile m8 turn off your mutant powers ;] - this is EXACTLY how it will happen - only debate is whether all classes need to duel this way ie maybe clerics only need 1 round etc?

the arena was custom made by GOA (i wanted a low brick wall, not fences ;/ ) and it had a healer & alchemy table right next to it - they still retain the script & so they can put it up whenever it is needed. (SEE MY SIG FOR PICS)

the only thing to decide now is where - as it the arena needs a flat bit of land , either right opposite ludlow or the church near
humberton.

fyi the arena is about 2500 units long and 400 units wide (i think)

just a reminder about tourno

*100g to enter (prize money details to follow)

*any tourno with less than FOUR ENTRANTS will be cancelled

*any melee based tourno will be over 3 rounds, the PALADIN (coz these are gonna take forever unless u give me a good reason y they wont), caster & cleric tourney will be ONE round only

*all ra's are available to you, but remember you will fight 3 rounds in succession so be careful when you burn an r.a

*all entrants are SEEDED by RR, in the case of when there are an uneven number of people in the draw the LOWEST RR player will be given a bye into the next round

*all duels will begin at range. (approx 2000units apart)

*charged items are NOT ALLOWED. so u cannot for example bring a weapon with a self haste buff etc or a fire a dd at someone whenever you feel like it (ie to get the killing blow) or a debuff

*reactives such as ablatives are fine, and proc's are fine but nothing that gives you a self buff or bt shield etc or that you can fire at will. This means you can have dot's, dd's etc but you cannot enhance yourself in any way other than your class defining self buffs.


approx date for tourno is FIRST WEEKEND OF MAY

the winners from each class (pro & am) section will be invited (so its totally optional) into a champions tourney (there will be a pro & am champs tourney) where you could get drawn against anyone. still debating whether there should b some prize money for this
