Sorry Requiel and the other GMs but a "technical issue" doesnt really cut it now does it - we don't want an in-depth breakdown of the problem, but something more detailed than "technical issue" would have been nice. The majority of your audience here has at least a basic grounding in computers so more detail wouldnt have been put on deaf ears.

Also clarification would be nice - is it the massive packet loss at OT step 3 (from my end) causing this?

Sorry that you feel it isn't cutting it but it's simply all the information we have at the moment. We have chosen to let the technicians work on it rather then asking them to give us a play by play.

Apologies if that came across assy but (to a point obviously) when youre dealing with a reasnobly knowledgeable customer base its better to hand out at least rough facts!

I would of course assume for a paying subscription service they were aware and working on it, it's a shame irony doesn't travel well here - I purely meant as a company when would you ever send a message saying, "hey, we're not sure what's going on".

I obviously don't have the numbers, but I doubt it's "ALWAYS" the english servers.

What IS obvious is, that you notice 100% of the times the english servers have trouble. And, you notice 0% of the times some german server have issues.

Hence it seems to you that 100% of the trouble are with english servers - which obviously is not true.

You avoided Sarisir's comment too:

Its always the english server ye... If this happened to a french or german player, they could always just log on to another server to play a diff realm or summit...

People playing the english server(s) can only play 1 realm, unless they play on the, almost deserted, classic server... yet we have to pay full sub price... 1/3 product for the same price as the rest of the european community pays.

I've noticed the spanish server over the last couple of weeks, and it NEVER exceeds 200 players... as I remember it, the reason for the english cluster, were low population on the servers... how can they justify running a spanish server with those numbers then??

If GOA is all about accomidating diff nationalities, where's the servers for: norway, sweden, denmark, holland etc etc?

And why is it always the english server(s) that take a swing?

Feel free to explain that Azathrim. I played Diablo 2 for years, and as a free service it never went down. Why was that?

I see lots of people on Europe accordingon servers working according to the Herald. Bring on Warhammer, oh I forgot, the same problems will come with that too (and of course make sure people that you can get a supported gfx for that, even though that will change every few bloody weeks.)

The entire platform was rebooted by the server admins a few minutes ago. This is why the patch server and all game servers were unavailable for a short while. The techs are still working on the problem and as we have more news we'll pass it on.
