Actually we can afford to drop 3 points, we still have a game in hand over liverpool after playing tomorrow. Had the scousers won, it would have put the pressure on.

What I was saying is that if Liverpool had lost United could have lost 2 games, dropped 6 points, as they would still be a point ahead.

Now, however, United can't lose 2 games, drop 6 points, because that would put them level with Liverpool whilst the latter have a higher goal difference. This is providing Liverpool still have a higher goal difference, which would be likely if we lost 2 games ....

goal difference isnt that big, and utd could make that up with the 2 games that they got in hand, think it is what. Liverpool about 5 goals ahead? Entirely possible to pull that back, however it unlikely as Liverpool got the easier run in for the last bunch of games (hull, Newcastle still a shambles, and sure there was another)

Watched the Liverpool v Arsenal game in Cancun airport yesterday afternoon (local time). There was a plane to Manchester and another to Gatwick due to leave during the game ... needless to say large percentages of both planes were in the bar and would not leave until the game was finished.

Both planes left delayed

There was surprising good humour between the Liverpool and Arsenal and Man United fans. Unsurprisingly the majority of the Man United fans were on the plane to Gatwick...
