Given the amount of money the real united fans who travel may have to fork out, you can forgive them for not turning up. They have a potential trip to Rome to save up for and probably expected to be in the FA cup final to save up for. Its a stupid idea to have the semi's at wembley, especially when 2 northern teams are playing.

To be honest, i think chelsea will do us in the champions league. We arent as good as it may seem to the outsider. We will struggle against the Chelsea defence, whilst our defenders will struggle with the pace of le sulk and the physicality of Drogba

During the Arsenal - Chelsea match yesterday, it was such a shit performance from both sides that i was just saying give it to Everton after the run theyve had in the FA cup. Obviously i want to win though. However my focus is on the CL and league above the FA.

Re-CL; i think we should be able to muscle you out of midfield like vs Arsenal, also if Drogba is on form he should ruin your defenders. And our defence should be solid enough against your attack. Well except Messi, I think how good he is will be the difference.

You reckon? With Ivanovic on a yellow card and the most likely playing up against Messi i think he could see himself suspended for the second leg. As good as Bosingwa is going forward, i think Ivanovic suits our style of play more as he's solid at the back.

Midfield will be very interesting, immense creativity from the likes of Iniesta & Xavi against the power of Essien, Ballack & Lampard.

Should pan out to be another cracker!

The spanish league is terrible. In fact, its not even that good. SO when the spanish teams have to play a game with huge intensity they struggle because they arent used to it. You can have all the skill in the world, but if you dont have the intenisty and physicality that the english teams have you will struggle.

Still though, undoubtedly the likes of Alves, Xavi, Iniesta, Henry, Eto'o and Messi are great players, attacking wise atleast.

Assuming Ivanovic is forced to play leftback to cover Messi. Will be interesting to see how he fares against someone who is strong yet still fairly pacey. Although i remember he didn't have any problems against Ramos when you played Madrid.

Edit: I don't think it was a lack of respect Gohan, considering Man U matched them and should have had a penalty. Don't forget, it was the experienced players, Berbatov and Ferdinand, that missed the penalties.

to be fair there is a difference between doing it in a cup game and doing it in the league at the end of the season when in games that can decide the future of another teams (ie fielding a weak team against someone you should beat but lose to thus another team getting relegated)

Ferguson has merely took a stand with putting the league ahead of the FA cup, and i dont blame him to be fair. If this game was 3 weeks ago i bet the team he put out would been completely different but with pressure now on he knows he cant rest too many players in the league
