rofl watch when that boring fart says he's been close friends with fabio for 37 years terry gives it the chinny chin sign

and the cheeky grin and eyes at the camera, he is such a media whore :)

Love the way the other guy says "fabio" though, had me in tears.

David James :p

Well it feels that way, the rest the team is screwing up much as him so he may as well be.

It unbelievable how quickly that guy falls apart... made some massive mistakes against liverpool, then makes stupid cockups in England team, including dropping a catch a 3 year old could have caught

it fa cup weekend so least there some interesting games about... and 2 games midweek. Man Utd finally be on the same games played as others so makes it easy to judge what could happen :D

Hoping for VDS to get that bit closer to the world record for time without conceeding :D

VDS will beat world record if he keeps clean sheet against Fulham on Wednesday, on paper will never have a better chance of doing it, Fulhams away record is piss poor.

observer reporting that barcelona are trying to get either Adebayour, Van persie of Fabregas in the summer, would be a bit of a blow if it happened.

yyou be ok if you lost any of them, except fabby. He really makes that arsenal team complete.

Easy enough to find a top class striker, many around still that a bit of money could be enticed to a big team like arsenal. But a central midfield play maker of fabs quality are few and far between... hopefully he comes back as good as used to be.. sure he had bit of a low patch, however he so influencial in arsenals style he the biggest miss.

I reckon you can replace adebayor, not van persie or cesc though, those two are sheer quality. I always thought adebayour only had one or two good seasons in him, and I do not see him making as much of impact again.

I agree this season RVP can not be replaced he is the shining light at the moment, Cesc is the heart of the team but the Tongonator has had a quiet year if we had to lose one which i hope we dont hes the most replaceable with the Dane and Eduardo

Eduardo looks to be trying to bounce straight to form, set up a goal for croatia in his comeback if im correct.

He is going to have the ability to turn arsenal season around and try to regain the 4th position. Who it to be taken from is yet to be known, it could easily be chelsea that miss out if they dont sort out their act.

Im really looking forward to the season kicking of now. Absoloute anything could happen in the champ league places, and down the bottom any 3 of 10+ teams could go down. No one is really safe, and the old guidelines have been thrown out the window as this season nobodies knows what points will keep you safe.

Hahah, the Dane. Bendter is more of a joke than Eboue, at least Eboue tries.

Van da man is really coming into form, his only problem was it shoulda happened last season but he got injured. Adeb well he's got the first touch of a rapist, but can produce a goal in about 1 in 10 shots so s'pose gotta take what you get :)

I wonder what our forumite Chelsea fans have to say about Paul Jewell's comments in the Express:

Daily Express | Sport | Football

“You have to be careful and not forget just how big a club Everton are,” said Jewell. “Villa are a big club. They have won a European Cup. Chelsea have never won a European Cup.

“Villa are a bigger club than Chelsea. You go to Villa Park, the fans are passionate. You go to Chelsea, they have great players, great facilities, but Villa is a bigger football club.

“If Chelsea finished seventh this year you could walk into Chelsea next year. If Villa had had the success Chelsea had you wouldn’t be able to get a seat for years.”

He can do a job as a target man he played well when we tried 4-5-1 a few times,

Its true before the oil millions chek$ki had no history, history makes you a big club hence Liverpool and Man U being the biggest clubs in England

I don't get what makes them a bigger club? Pre-Roman we were finishing higher, already in the champions league and since we have won the league and other trophies and come as close as you can to winning the CL, where as Villa havent really won anything in 20-30 years, i don't get what makes them bigger? Same stadium capacity but our facilities our better and we have way more fans world wide. Not trying to put villa down but doesnt make sense of it since he doesn't justify his comments. Might as well argue Nottingham forest are bigger than both of us aswell with his points...

In regards to 4th place and CL spot this year. Doesn't mean as much this year, due to the new rules regarding qualification. Whoever finishes 4th could end up playing someone like Valencia (random example) in only their first qualifier.

surely getting in the 4th CL spot is better then missing out totally!

Also when you get towards the top the differences that a couple of positions make in prize money is quite large. Sure for someone like chelsea with their sugar daddy this dont matter much however for some the other teams pushing for the places it will make a huge difference.

The prize difference is only half a million per spot form the FA anyway while winning can mean alot for sponsorship ect the difference between 2nd and 3rd is half a mil.

aye but this will go up in a year and a half due to increased tv revenue to be put into it etc etc.

makes alot of difference for the smaller clubs that fighting for uefa if they jump into a CL position. Add this to the money they get for qualifying for CL (3million or so before game revenue etc) and it all adds up.
