ddont forget the hand ball on the line that would been a penalty and sending off in under 5minutes if not for the 17yr old putting it straight in the net :D

Villa are playing pretty well, but I think we'll turn up the intensity in the second half. Need to get Ash and Milner on the ball more. Gabby's not scored for ages, hard to think of an easier chance than from Ash's cross in the first half.

Everton fans appealing for every decision is getting a bit old. Unfortunately the ref appears to be buying into it and has given some silly decisions against Villa.

I hope they do and they lose any chance of getting further FA cup highlights, a break after each game is a bloody piss take.

will be interesting to see that disallowed goal in slow-motion looked like ronaldo was kept onside by the derby player on the far side (but might just be the camera angle) slow flag though o_O

We won the world championship already, that would be the 5th.

Typical Arsenal fan reaction. If you'd seen us lose to Stoke with a deflection in the 5th minute of injury time then you'd know we are not so "lucky". And this from the team that was winning at Villa Park after scoring two goals from three shots with their keeper and the woodwork saving them four times in the first half alone.

Keep on thinking we're lucky, we'll keep on thinking your manager is blind and living off past glories.

I will never take anything you say about football even slightly seriously again.

That is a smart move seeing as its banter and not meant to be taken seriously.

But other than 3 league wins at celtic who have 42 league wins and have won the league 3 times since he left under Gordon Strachan. what has he done to set the managerial world alight?

as said above he inherited a team that had a reputation for having very expensive strikers (cant remember the names but there was a thing on motd once about their strikers averaging at something like £100k per goal) and got rid of those that were fannying about thus turning it around from a mid table team to a team sitting near the top of the table putting in some fantastic performances without having spent a huge fortune like say, tottenham or man city have (without the results to match :p ) hes brought in very good players like ashley young, james milner, john carew, luke young, reo-coker (perhaps not been performing at his best all the time i must admit), emile heskey, brad friedel etc

Even if we were to drop out of the top four we've had our best league season for many a year and put in some fantastic performances. Compared to being nearly relegated under David O'Leary 3 years ago this is wonderful.

Arsenal are a team in decline, just accept it ... you'll feel much happier.

What has MON done eh?

Ok here goes..took non-league Wycombe into football league, then won promotion to league One the following season.

Leicester he took them to 3 league cup finals winning twice, taking them into Europe also. Also finished in top 8 with them.

Celtic took them to a Uefa Cup final, plus all the titles etc won.

Villa turned them into a possible top 4 team in just 2 years, buying british players in the process.

I will when we actually finish below you as i said before we were in a worse spot than this the season with spuds. And Villa are probably a one season wonder just like Everton a few years back when they piped Pool to forth so enjoy it while you can. ;)

Everton were hardly a one season wonder, they simply have not got a big enough squad to cope with the injuries they have carried over the past season and a half. A fit Everton team are quite possible of top 4.

But Arsenal's current form has nothing to do with out Injury list but instead the fact we are a team in decline ;)

No you have a shit squad, and you really should not given the profit and turnover you make. Everton really do not have the resources, Arse do.

I can see that but i see why Wenger will not spend he is keeping the club profitable its not about the transfer fee its about the wages for the player should the worse happen no europe 40k fans a week. I think our squad is OK if Eduardo stayed fit last year i think we may have won the league this season we are suffering big style though a lack of midfield talent Helb in 4-5-1 and Cesc Injured or hamstringed by his midfield partner but Wenger has stated he will keep the faith with Denilson Diaby so nothing changing there.

gah, damn edit timers :D

just looked at my team, and i cant afford to drop cole for a couple weeks as cant afford to get him back :(

Thats what happens when they only give you 50% of the increase in player price when you sell... i had him awhile so it been a big difference and i dont have money in bank to make up the difference

You do realise that Villa have finished top four a few times before? And you do remember the time when Arsenal were a mid-table club? We used to quite look forward to trips to Highbury back then, almost a guaranteed three points :)
