yes its perfectly fine in FG vs FG scene (which is no doubt a small part of the general daoc world(yes all servers included) )

in keep/tower fights etc its not that fine! , but then again casual players wont scream for a nerf(if its needed) the other 10% does that ;)
And konah , no not 90% of the population here wants fg vs fg, 90% wants to have fun , if its with a zerg/tower/keep/FG, they dont care.

The problem with halving everyones damage across the board is the whining that would follow.

The last time casters were way overpowered Mythic proposed a 30% reduction in everyones damage, as players simply died too fast in RvR. The reduction would at least allow tanks to close with casters and have a chance.

Stealthers whined that the reduction would harm them beyond others so were exempted. Casters whined that they needed the damage so were exempted. This left only tanks to be nerfed, and it was tanks that it was meant to help. Mythic scrapped the idea publicly, but did it anyway. Epic armour and resists were introduced and RvR became much more fun...but was still not enough. In came the cheap RAs and tankalot started.

I don't want to see a return to tankalot, but something needs to be done. The time is ripe for the introduction of spell absorb ablative procs, spellturn for tanks/hybrids/healers and pulsing spellturn. Give spells a chance to miss and to fumble...or 'fizz'. Redo interrupt code at same time.

Either that or heavily nerf either damage or survivability.

Ok my two peenies worth -

First alb armsmen dont get charge lol talk about gimped would love to be able to run in like a troll zerker and scare people before i get nuked but it dont happen, alb mercs get it thats why ho crush mercs are fotm atm. So the real main tanks of alb the pally end chant and sprint is closest they get to a charge with purge to get past the insta mezzes or arms with nowt.

Damage of casters and casting times tbh i think apart from the warlock dot the caster classes are all ok , vamps, banshies ani's etc etc each has strengths and weeknesses it the ability of the player going against these classes to work it out not the class thats like saying i want to fly a jet fighter while me enemy flys a jumbo jet. Alot of the whinging seems to come from people with no real skill of playing their alts in rvr. Aye one shot kills from warlocks a pain but then if u grouped your group should get revenge for you seems to be to many solo stealthers getting the hump cause they cant farm so fast now.

Those good rvr groups are playing together as a team and playing their alts to their strengths so if you running solo expect to get ganked

When people get good gear, play their class with skill and work out how to take on the other realms then come back and whine and stop QQ on the boards.

Btw i an alb so i expect the whines and flames back as thats what happens when an albs posts on here.
