The spanish were always classier than us.

I blame the fact that blue skies and sun give people a more relaxed disposition :)
Thats nice of them seeing as we pretty well paid for their infrastructure in the past 30 years, us Brits should get a free fucking pass on the Spanish motorways.

You pay for their shit = they get wealthier = they buy more of your shit.

Shame were leaving and skipping out that last stage.

Atleast the Germans will get richer.

Obviously after a food few wars, its a good idea outside of the humanity angle to get the rich countries together to help bring the poor ones up to economic equality and supress conflict, a positive benefit of the EU.

But when a country who has benefited so massively from this offers us something which is quite obviously in their own interest and the remainers go all soppy eyed.
Then yes I roll my eyes to the sky.
Double that with the way they have wasted the investment...well whatever...its not all their fault.
The fucking Euro German ponzi scheme has a lot to do with it.

Germans built motorways in Spain so that they could drive Audis/Mercs/BMWs down them.

It's not their fault that we decided to destroy our manufacturing industry.

Anyway Liverpool voted to remain in the EU and heres a nice video of this beautiful city.
Not the usual mainstream media agenda of filming nothing but run down areas.

They built their motorways without the slightest of concern for the populations of the towns affected.

Have you ever driven across hilly Spain using the old roads, the literally knocked down individual houses to plonk in 200ft high supports, the entire villages are in darkness.

So are you saying that the Spanish didn't need motorways?

In your opinion, has the EU ever done anything positive?

It's not really class its pragmatism. If they started kicking Brits out, a lot of local economies across the mainland, Balerics and Canaries would be decimated.

It's not about kicking them out - it's about guaranteeing the same levels of benefits and rights that they have now.

We've sacked the tory who tabled the amendment to give the same to EU residents here.

Class definitely comes into it. The Spanish have unilaterally taken that action. We haven't even reciprocated for spanish nationals who are here, never mind eased the very real fears of the rest.

Scummy, chavvy brexit-uk.

This says it all to me.

More than 4.5 million people took part in an EU consultation on ending clock changes, the largest-ever number taking part in such a survey by the European commission. Yet 70% of the replies came from just one country, Germany, followed by France, then Austria.

The UK had the lowest level of survey participation, with just 0.02% of the population responding.

Across the EU 84% were in favour of scrapping clock changes, but there were significant national differences. While 93% of Finns and 91% of Poles support the move, Greeks and Cypriots narrowly opposed the plans.

Would be a more biting headline if it was setup to force that ratio of participation, good on Germany that their citizens take politics seriously enough to take part

And its a consultation, which has been approved by MEPs, it has yet to be implemented into the law anywhere, has to be approved by member states next if they want it to go through.
