Yes go around arguing till you find the type you want then post it as a the average brexiter.
Its what all the media does.

Anyway, of course they will trade with us, they are not going to start a trade war with the UK.

Europes second biggest economy!!!!!
They will have to reduce tariffs to within a whiff of the deals people in the EU get and fudge the rest.

This is Europes second biggest economy, we are bigger than 19 European countries put together.
Holy fucking shit, the bargaining tactics of temainers is beyond belief.

I'm fairly sure France and Germany has high enough unemployment to deal with any import issues other European countries have post-Brexit, and they would prefer that.

Difference is that we'll need the shit they sell it us ;)

As Ive posted before, the day we left without any deal.
Is the EU actually going to send out instructions to increase tarriffs on UK goods, knowing we will do the same, and take out huge chunks of its economy..literally putting 10s of thousands of people out of work on both sides.

That would be brave....and it wont happen.

Under WTO rules they would have to you donut. That's the whole fucking point; they can't quietly ignore tariffs with the UK because then that becomes their MFN rate and other countries (eg the US) can demand the same rates.

The EU doesn't want tariffs with the UK, but without a trade deal that doesn't matter.

You can ignore wto trade deals..its called doing your own.

They have a handy get out clause, the one the EU uses to keep its protection racket going.
Theyll just have to set up a deal with the UK.

The UK gov cant negotiate its way out of a wet paper bag at the moment what makes you believe its equipped to negotiate a trade deal with the EU (which would need to be approved by all member states plus a few regions in belgium)

If we crashed out with no deal..as in it becomes a thing that is sold as such.
Then the EU will have to stop the clock and negotiate with the WTO..(tell them whats happening) and sort out the deals.
They are NEVER going to introduce the tarrifs, its unworkable on both sides.

Yes you can do your own, but they haven't. So no deal means WTO AND TARIFFS until they do. Fastest trade deal ever done anywhere is 4 months, to negotiate, 18 months to implement (which was between the US and Jordan and the US, with their enormous trade team, dictated the terms to Jordan because it gave Jordan massive military support off the back of it; and there was barely any "negotiation" involved because the King of Jordan rubber-stamped the whole deal). Typical EU negotiations take a minimum of four years.

But they cant afford that can they, we are talking about trade deals in place NOW.

They will stop the clock.

They have to, the frickin businesses will have gone bust by the time they do the deal.

The only way to do an "instant" trade deal is full EU harmonisation, which is effectively the same as the Customs Union. This literally no other way to do it without suspending Article 50 indefinitely.

Just out of interest, (as there is so much “you need us more than we need you” coming out of the U.K. dregs at the moment), can anyone think of a physical export from the U.K which can’t be substituted for another product?

It's almost like it was warned this would happen all along.

I don't understand though, you perceive the EU to be a nasty entity, but you don't think they'll be harsh post-Brexit?

The EU have to protect their own companies... Britain is hardly a trivial trading partner.
The industries of continental Europe will not standby and watch the EU destroy the trade simply to make a point.
There has to be deal.
But the EU have to make being out of the club wirse than being in it, unfortunately this is unprecedented.
It always went the other way...join for better deals.
Leave...and oh fuck, that means we lose as well.
Do you really think the EU can take the hit?

Ive said it before, but I would be perfectly happy for us to pay for good trade deals without the freedom of movement.
Like paying to go ad free.
Its all going to fall apart anyway.
