FFS Job, whilst I hate to put it in Left/Right terms (as I suspect that's half the reason for the division we see today) those on the right who are up in arms are playing directly into the censors hands.

Be the bigger person and let it go.

They're exposing their lack of principle.

If they believed in freedom of speech they'd not use this shitty tactic - but instead point out that they're not outraged and that they understand it was a joke. Perhaps support someone like Danny Baker and criticising the idiotic nature of social media etc.

But no. Faux outrage to score points.

Jesus h christ...stop avoiding the issue by changing the argument
Im not even blaming Brand..it was a joke..a throw away line that reflected her dislike for brexit.

The issue is liberal bias supported by mainstream media.
Anyway they are eroding the publics trust..the country is splitting in two.

Britains number 1 media outlet casually shits on half the population.
She will be put out to pasture for a bit..as the acid attack victims have started coming forward , the beebs hypocrisy will overwhelm them.

I dont..but I know hes just fighting fire with fire.

There are many levels you have to use to defend yourself against liberalism.
You can argue ideology and bias..they just shout nazi over and over again.
Or you can call in the police.
Hes gone for the police

And yet you back Farage point of view....

Just to play Devil's Advocate, I can actually see Farage's Point of View in this, as he has already been attacked by some dribbling idiot with a milkshake, so the prospect of someone using battery acid is probably quite unappealing.

Note this doesn't mean I 100% agree - although as we've always said there is a point where freedom of speech crosses the line into incitement, yelling FIRE in a cinema, etc etc - I do see where he is coming from.

Everyone needs to just calm the fuck down and a) get a sense of humour and b) stop throwing stuff at people we disagree with.

Can't believe the police are looking into it though. I assume they've solved all the stabbings and other real crime in London then?

Indeed. It's not like a political rally.
don't like the implication that there are "appropriate places" to make jokes.

Jokes are jokes. Even if made at funerals or serious business meetings.

So?

That's not a "joke" then is it.

Should the existence of wankers mean that the jokes of nice people may get them sacked or ruin their professional careers?

This is true. The edgelords spend their lives creating memes about how Hitler was right and when challenged say 'lol - no humour libtards'.

So Danny Baker posts a picture of a monkey in a suit and is sacked on the spot for racism.

Jo Brand suggests brexiters should have battery acid thrown on them.

And it a joke..people..a joke.
Wheres your sense of humour?
Free speech and all!

Yes..free speech and thats a clear incitement of the most horrendous disfiguring violence, but a monkey in a suit...burn him!!!
Nigel Farage reacts furiously to Jo Brand joke, demanding police act over 'incitement of violence'
In May 2016, in response to Labour Party politician Jess Phillips' public statement that she commonly receives rape threats, Benjamin said "I wouldn't even rape you” in a YouTube video and which he promoted at his Twitter account. He is unapologetic about his remark to Jess Phillips.

He has since joked about the outrage.
I said I wouldnt rape her..surely thats a good thing.

Now he is actually being investigated for saying he wouldnt break the law.

Thats where we are in 2019.

Jimmy Carr could make that joke without a singke complaint.
They are investigating him because of the power he has to educate the brainwashed.

Firstly the actual joke was there isnt enough beer in the world to make me want to rape her.
Barely a joke...hardly highly controversial.

Jo's joke is about mutilating people she doesnt like based solely on their political views.
Its a pretty fucking horrid joke...probably worse than any of Frankie Boyles...its not even a joke in any real sense of the word ..just an outburst of anger.
As Ive said..its the beeb defending it that is the problem.
Jo can deal with the backlash herself.

The fact that the show was prerecorded and a producer OK'd its transmission gives you a clue of the culture down at the britishbiascorporation...did they expect it to go unnnoticed or do they think their special liberal safespace doesnt have to answer to anyone.

Id say it was the latter.

Frankie was let go for the spoon joke.

Well yes.
But the joke was about NOT raping someone.

So yes not raping someone is considerably less evil than throwing acid over them.
