I'll go with "good" but not "great". I pay £30 a month and get 600 minutes, 500MB and unlimited texts. Obviously there's a subsidy for my Galaxy S rolled into that as well.

I think they said that to pay off the balance and start a new contract today would cost me around £250.

Hope that helps :)

That's a crap contract tbh. You can always get the latest Android phones with decent mins/text/inet for at most £25 as long as you shop around. The wife's Galaxy S is £20 p/m for 900 mins/texts + 1GB.

Get a SF for the remainder of the contract and then maybe keep it on GiffGaff and cancel your contract !

Hopefully I'll be collecting my Sensation tomorrow and I'll report back on how much better I am than all of you.

This isn't rape, so that whole "no means no" thing doesn't apply. Get an iPhone.

Too late (thank fuck, Apple are shite. iTunes is worse.)

I've just been given an iPhone4 as my new work phone (new job). It's very nice but I think I genuinely prefer Android as an OS. I think if I'd been buying my own phone I'd have got an Xperia Arc (at least Sony are trying to avoid generic smartphone design).

NB. While iTunes is indeed total shite, you don't really need to go near it; apps can be downloaded direct and if you have Spotify or the like there's no need to touch iTunes.

Hasn't spotify gone subscription now? When I use the android app it never lets me listen, just says I need to sync from the PC but I can't do that unless I have a subscription.

Spotify has always been subscription in reality, know they've just uber fucked over the free versions with caps and limits, etc, etc.

Including the "we won't fuck this about" invite accounts that they stopped doing ages ago.

Picked my Sensation up to day and it's very impressive.

Only spent a few minutes with it so far but naviagting around the phone is quick and smooth. Screen's lovely, good build quality and about 3 billion things in it. Will take a while to get it all set up how I want I think, but I'll have fun doing so. Will report back later on things like camera/sound/call quality etc once it's had some proper use.

I found mine was under sdcard/external_sd due to the fact that the phone has an internal memory which it regards as an sdcard...

Download Estrong File Manager from the market.
It's free and quite effective.

I prefer AndExplorer myself or OI File Manager.

Needing an app to browse is a bit retarded but probably the only real drawback.

Couple of weird GUI choices though, some things are completely illogical and need you to specifically find out how to do certain things like removing items from the home screen. Other than that good so far. Sound quality is decent but not amazing, and the lack of completely customisable equaliser is a bit poop.

Perhaps you need winamp app if you are referring to a music equaliser....

I found the perfect solution to my problem. I'm getting a brand-new (not stolen) Samsung Galaxy S2 handset (no contract) for....£150!!!

Maybe the guy who stole my Galaxy S was just doing me a favour :)

My missus works for a big law firm and she's responsible for their mobile phone account. Her sales rep already took me and her for a VIP footy match at Sunderland last season and she's taken pity on me and done me a cracking deal on the S2. I reckon the fact that the account is worth something like 15 grand a month to this phone company might have something to do with it.

Next year apparently we're getting an exec box for the Sunderland vs Man Utd match and we might even get to meet Big Niall himself.

And it's from a company based in Sunderland, so it probably IS stolen :D

Sound quality is not amazing because you bought the wrong phone if you want sweet sounds, which I did tell you. My X10 doesn;t have an equaliser either, but then it doesn't need one, as it sounds pretty kickass already. Not quite audiophile level (it does run off mp3s at the end of the day), but certainly far better than other handsets and even iPods when hooked up to a big system.

Just had a browse round CPW, they're offering X10's for 150 notes at the moment, which is bargain of the century imo for a near top spec Andorid phone. Only thing it lacks is a dual core processor and a bit of RAM, but meh. I look for those things when I need them.

It's not amazing blow you away sound, but it is certainly good enough to listen to all day and not notice any real problems with it.
