I sort of agree with that, a bit like what he said about the DB7.

I got to my trackday thing and managed to fill up after queuing for a while in Harlow.

As I came back through Norwich most of the stations were again empty and those with fuel had long queues.

I'll ignore the fact that you clearly know fuck all about cars and just tell you, we're talking about petrol prices here ya eejit. Other thread for your ill-informed drivel about Clarkson.

Gas prices dropped from $2.89 to $2.79... and from what I've heard they're going to drop even more and will level out at around $2.30ish per gallon again.

Guess I'll get my baby after all... take that Jupitus. :p

... again - I wouldn't mind using public transportation.
But since the lack of it, I have to use my car.

Reading Uncle Sick's comments put me in mind of an economist who was wheeled out on Radio 4 yesterday. In his estimation the UK government is wise not to subsidise fuel prices, or slash taxes on fuel, as it will create momentum for alternate fuel supplies; similarly consumers will be looking for ways of reducing their petrol useage including more economic vehicles.

We all know one day (soon-ish) the supplies of oil will run out, so it does make sense to start preparing for that now.

Something like this?

50 something miles per gallon is pretty sweet for an SUV I daresay.

Those pesky panic buyers couldn't ruin a great day!

Highly recommend www.carlimits.com for anyone with a performance car here.

I thought trackday type thing was easier to explain than airfield training day, and believe me there is more hooning than there is instruction, most fun I've had with my clothes on this year :)

Nice car -- reminds me of a Lotus Elise that belongs to a member of staff of one of my clients. It belongs to a softly spoken 45+ year old insurance broker who has a spare tyre of his own, balding with a comb over, single, Born Again Christian. Looks *extremely* strange when he is driving that car at no mistake, particularly as he tootles about everywhere at approx 3 miles an hour below the speed limit ("You can't be too careful").
