I can but apologise for my no-show last night.

Unbelievably, Mrs Will actually said "you goin on your PC tonight"!!!!! I nearly fell over, but played it cool,
"dunno, maybe for a bit, later I guess"

Walked out the room and sprinted to the study as fast as my hairfree legs would carry me. Fired up the beast at about 2040, time to get a bit of praccy before being wasted by you bunch.

Tried to join a server and........when the fuck did 3.1 come out!! Ive only just got 3.0 ffs :eek: Didnt bother DLing it cos that would have been an hour, and I wouldnt have been able to play at all, so I went to the ZhG server and played CS instead.

Sorry guys, hope you do it again soon Summo. I'll make sure Ive got the right version next time. :(

When did 3.1 come out ? :rolleyes:

Anyway, the most interesting thing for me was realising that Ive been playing with voice off since 3.1. It must of reset my key !For weeks now Ive been yelling "help me take the fucking bridge you fucknig n00b fucking idiot" etc etc, to people who couldnt hear me !
So sorry too to Meg etc that might have thought I was ignoring them,I actually thoguht I had said hello :D

3.1 came out like a week after 3.0 & afaik its only a few MB download (shockingly)

Like I said, I could have done it, but it would have taken an age, so I decided to use my precious on-line time to play CS instead.

I havnt played DoD since 2.0, so I didnt realise there was a new patch.

So bollocks.

Yup, i used 3.0 off a coverdisk then upgraded to 3.1 with the little update. Thought i was being clever using the coverdisk instead of dling but oooooooooooh no it had loads of missing files and i had to download the full version and by the time i did it was 9 :(

Actually I am grumpy.

Its very fuggin hot here at work, Im sweating my ass off, covered in coke dust (not the snorting variety :rolleyes: ) and Im as black as a badgers arse.

I dont get to play enough.

My daughters not sleeping well.

My trainings gone to shit.

The house extension is taking for fucking ever.

I miss my NSR. (which I sold btw)

You would be even worse if you had to download Earth & Beyond, the original game is 800meg, the first patch was 300megs and they just released a new patch today at 208megs :p

Well......I went and did it!!!!

Installed DoD and tried my VERY first game of Dod.

And Was it strange ......


managed a few kills - kinda almost non stop.

Perhaps might try again.

Great ! I also noticed my clan mate TipTop playing DoD for the first time today :)
If I keep going on about it, maybe one day we'll have a proper bw community :)
(and then the bw admins will turn up and tel us they did it :))

Throd, as you know I had aquick game the other night, what a nightmare!! I was wandering around like a noonen, gettin shot by god knows who from god knows where, couldnt tell the good guys from the bad guys, and didnt have a clue what the objective was (street has been held by bob smith?? wtf?)

Practice makes perfect I guess?

By my (admittedly, rather rough) calculations, that would take me approx 106 hours at 3.5k dl speed.

Hmmmmm, so whats this game then??

Simple really m8, you have to take the flags, they are markers of your progress across the battlefeild as it were. You can tell the germans from the americans (or British, if like me you have nice British skins :) ), by their uniforms . The Germans in particular are easy to spot as they have them helmets we all new about at school hehe :)

That sounded like me!

What I did notice was, the server I was on - there was ZERO chitchat.

asked for help and got ............... silence.



BTW - what do you do with the flags when you get them?

Walk over the Flag, you should have captured it (Flag turns colour an dyou hear a "Flag Captured" or some german shit, in some cases you may need a TeamMate to cap the flag with you (In your bottom left corner you see a Pic of 2 guys or somethin)
