Ok, 7 days to go until polling day, although some of you may have already voted by post. Here's a Poll to see which way the winds blow in here.

I have included the options - 'Would vote none of the above if I was allowed', and 'Can't be arsed at all.' to cover those who see things that way.

I could have gone on forever with minority parties, but you'll just have to accept 'Other' if your oddball party is not listed here.

I'm well aware my party of choice (green) won't get in, but hey, I like the local candidates take on the party policy. She agrees with the stuff I like about them, and thinks a lot of the impractical pie in the sky in the manifesto needs to be tempered with realism. If it wasn't for reading her views, I'd probably have voted LibDem. Not that it makes much difference when my local MP is Alastair Darling.

My spell checker thinks I meant Alsatian Darling. Heh.

Lib Dem. I've liked them since Lord Voldemort was in charge, although I'm not fussed about Clegg. (For years I've spoiled my ballot paper, before that I voted conservative - my mum's a lifelong Labour voter - but then she's thick as pigshit and believes that people will do things just because the law tells them to - like most of 'em).

Reason being? Well, for some strange reason, even though a lib dem government would hit me in the pocket to the tune of about 20% more tax, I think the tax system is unfair and they're the only ones planning on reforming more fairly.

In the past 10 years I've never paid more than 19% tax on my entire income. All those of you who work for someone else are fools who are being exploited by people who are, in reality, no better than you (and probably worse).

So. Whilst seemingly shooting myself in the foot by voting Lib Dem I am at least proving something - that altruism is very real.

If we're not going to reform this fucking bitch of a capitalist monetary system at least we can strive for some fairness in it.

Tory, they are the best hope in removing the labour stain.

Though I am leaning towards Lib Dem a bit more lately. Though they seem to be double sided, on one side retarded on the other good ideas.

Because at the moment the economy is the most important thing for this country. Everything else can wait until the next term. Labour are utterly clueless and have shown just that where both Lib Dem and Tory seem to have a bit more about them in ideas on how to fix it, rather than throwing more borrowing and debt at it like Labour. The main reason I am voting Tory is because they want to scrap (or at least say they will) waste in the public sector, a massive money pit generated by Labour to keep the unions happy. Less money thrown in the public sector pit, less tax, less tax more money to spend, more money to spend more jobs, more people in employment less benefits paid out and more tax generated.

If it wasn't for Lib Dems crazy ideas not related to the economy then I would probably vote for them. Some of their non economic ideas are just scary though, scrapping trident for example, lolwut? At least they are honest about their intentions which not many other parties are.

Tory - as explained before this is more tactical to get Labour out as it's a marginal than anything else but if somehow we did get a Tory government I don't for a minute imagine it would do a worse job than Gordon has. Anything's an improvement.

Politics doesn't make sense. Left and Right wing leanings are just bullshit which distract from the fact that we don't really get to vote on anything important and distract from the fact that there's a much wider spectrum of political leaning than "left or right".

However, the reason I'll vote lib dem is that they offer the best combination of policies of the 3 parties.

Labour will keep spending on health and education, but they're so utterly utterly retarded at a basic personality level that they don't understand how to achieve results. They've been spending for 12 years and managed to achieve fuck all because they don't understand how humans work.

Evidence for the prosecution: ID cards - anyone who thinks they'll help in any way is a total retard IMHO. It's just more illiberal labour bullshit from people just like that woman (who was perfectly normal, but dumb). I.E. It's the party of the uneducated.

Conservatives will just do what they always do - make the rich richer and fuck over the poor. Yes, they'll sort the economy out, but they'll fuck over millions in the process. "Freedom" to the conservatives is "freedom to act how you like regardless of consequences to the poor". I very much like their ideas to kill most government departments, but it's too little tbfh.

Liberals will scrap ID cards and make tax fairer (at great personal expense to me). Yes, they're a bunch of ass-ramming weirdos, but ass ramming weirdo's might actually do something. Also, their opinions on crime are definately worth a shot - both Labour and Conservatives have no idea how to sort criminality out.

Oh, and electoral reform is mandatory - Lib Dem's do it.

Lib Dems: Slightly less retarded than the rest (at the moment) - and different from the shit this country has had for a long time = win.

Has always been the case, really. Also correct.

Not at all surprised to see so much silent support for Tories on these boards.

I'm really torn by Conservatives and Lib Dems.

On the one hand my area is a new constituency but it was very close ( 43/37 ish ) for labour last time around - I really would prefer a non-labour candidate and the lib dems got < 20% last time.

On the other hand I think in the short term ( voting reform, constitutional change, better chancellor ) I'd prefer the lib dems for one term.

Y'see. I disagree with this. The economy is fine. All three parties will sort it out.

Lets face it, it's run by the Bank of England. All the political parties do is choose the path to go down.

Yep. The conservatives will definately sort the economy out. Possibly even quickest (though that's not a foregone conclusion). However, in the process they'll damage the "big society" that they're (allegedly) so fond of.

Seen 'em do it before. Saw Labour come in and do a load of wank as well. Lib dem's turn (at last).

Uh.

Um.

Uh.

Our deficit this year will be bigger than that of Greece.

Under what definition can that ever be considered fine?

Will vote Conservative as I don't believe in centralised governmental control (Lab) and the lib dems want to ruin my industry sector, who lets be honest pay a f**k load of corporation tax that pays a lot of the monthly interest charges on the government borrowing (second to the financial sector)

This can't be a fair sample anyway, people who generally vote Labour don't know how to use a computer :p

Not if they keep George Osbourne in charge of it they won't, he's more clueless than a blind goldfish (and he's a whiny voiced little prick too)

I still can't believe Cameron has stuffed up the election so far, the Tories should be 30 or 40 points ahead of labour, they really should have put someone with some gravitas in charge, idiots going for a blair-lite leader. But then again they should have won last time and stuffed that up too.

Personally voting Lib Dem because they are (as ever) the only honest party who talk sense and at least Vince Cable actually has a vague clue about what he's talking about (even if he is the reincarnation of Ken Campbell)
