u SURE u got the flu geezer? u sure it aint like , a cold or summat? we all get colds but thats very different to flu,which isn't about sneezing n all but about really feeling lifeless.a bad cold is nowt compared to that , but people who ALWAYS have flu generally just got a cold .

hehe no prob

here's how it hits me:
-first I get a little coldy thing that goes away after a day or so [this would be the "shot across the bows" thing heh]
-after about a week it comes back [and I'm like "oh it'll be gone tomorrow no sweat]
-I usually wake up with throbbing sinuses, running nose, sore throat, upset stomach, muscle pains and generally feeling that I just was hit by a rather large bus
-after a day or so I usually get a fever that lasts for a day
-whole thing lasts three to five days

Aye, you get real flu, you know about it. The only time I've had it was in my second year at uni. Had been to the gym (doing high intensity sports really lowers your immune system), got back, had just had a massage from my g/f at the time, got up went to my room to get changed. The next thing I recall is being lifted into the back of a car, and being drove to a doctors with people from my house looking really worried. Apparently it had been 2 days. Turns out there was a massive influenza out break, but as I had already got it there was little they could do.

Lasted for two weeks with my pathetic immune system

The only good thing it was get me off work for xmas eve, boxing day, news years eve, new years day
