shadowblades yeah great kiled some died a bit too, Skalds watch me kite u to death how clever am I ? but thats it took about 6 hours and the novelty has gone am i alone out there?

and boy am i glad i didnt respec to Axe cos swords really do own 99% of fights. but at the end of the day its just numbers and stats flying back and forth

So far Medicus haven't used insta heal at all during duelling, no need too

Tanks are a pushover (Ever nearsighted a Skald? MUHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH)

Healers are easy unless they have their instas up.

Have duelled 6 level 50 SBs, beat them all (numerous times )

Dark Runies is all about luck and who can get more nukes off before the interrupt code ticks in.

Everytime something gets added to DAoC ppl have to whinge about it automatically, it all adds to the zest of the game.

If you keep finding things boring, why still play? And Im sure your not bored enough to never dual again.

The minor things like the new dungeon, duels, spellcrafting and alchemy all add to peoples enjoyment, and everyone is different. Sounds to me like some just want a soft of Counterstrike for Vikings, aint gonna happen.

Well, that was hardly what he ment I think. He ment that if you keep find everything they add boring (as you can get the impression that some people do) then it's not hard to wonder why they still play.

Why not be a bit positive about what you did get? I for one am very glad for the new SFX-effects that goes with my blade styles, like the large BAM! every time I hit with Return Blade. Also that stackable items now stacks themselves is very nice.

Duelling is larely based on items/resists and how well you can run around your opponent avoiding styled damage, not exactly a sign of how skilled you are.

Nevertheless I found the half dozen duels I had yesterday fun, I even beat a level 50 Zerker in Epic and had 60% hp left

Anyway, Duels will be more fun when I get a few more nice drops from dodens

I've been playing this game for over a year now, and I still didn't encounter any situations which could be decided by skills. Let's face it, this game doesn't involve real skills, unless you call pushing buttons skills...

I quite like dueling, i did it for a fair few hours yesterday and started refining my 1v1 tactics, although i still havnt got used to running around avoiding styles, most of the time i run about and get "Target is not in view" While my target is styling me to death

well thrust resists is hard to get in hibernia give it a week or two once everyone gets their capped melee resists from SC and it'll be a lot different. oh and I lost to hinnea too in our rematch fight, I was first champ who beat her tho. second fight my str/con and dex/qui debuffs were both resisted

also fighting NS is hard because after they hit you from stealth, you can't target them with f8 (cos they're not really enemies) and auto-target means they have to attack you a 2nd time first.. basicaly means they get 2 attacks for free in on you (and when they resist str/con and dex/qui debuffs it means they have uber evade and have more hits than a champ does once th champ gets to take first swing at them. would be reverse if their str/con debuff gets resisted, that would totally screw them too)

Tried asigning a key to "last attacker"? (new to this patch) pretty sure that would target since afterall they did attack you enemy or not, havnt tried it myself but just a suggestion

It's like ice cream, too much of it at one time and it's becomes a bit boring and you start feeling sick........

but after a week, it tastes great again for a moment till you think you'll never look at ice cream again. It's all about finding a decent pace. But I suppose it's hard if you do it 8+ hours a day. Not suprising if it get's boring after 6hours straight duelling.....

Dueling could become a part of DAoC if we make it. A good duelist, set up a school and teach newbies the art of RvR and all kinda tricks involved in fighting. Excellent thing for RP'ing I would think.

I'll set up a school called "Padre's University - The Art of Healing"

Don't play much these days, but I found duelling to be a fun addition to the game. It's funny that people whine about the game being static and nothing else to do - Mythic add something, like duelling in this instance, then people whine that it's boring.
