As soon as Tesco opens I'm stocking up on bacon, sausages, pigs in blankets, and Frazzles. If you have a house full of bacon and your oven, toaster, central heating, and kettle work, it can snow as much as it likes.

Snow = Bacon.

Flying to the UK tonight, landing Tuesday morning. Hopefully the snow panic will be over by then.

We've gone from about 8 inches of snow and freezing temps to mild and gale force winds.

Snow and blow? All I need is a few cans of warm special brew and it's a party.

Got about an inch of snow last night from this 'beast from the east' most of the surrounding areas didn't get any snow, but the train service decided to cancel over 1000 services today anyway. Really glad I can just boot up & work at home hah.

There's a light dusting in the peak district. Very light. Went for a walk at lunchtime in a light jacket. Wasn't too cold.

Roads were very empty, traffic light. Thank god Blighty is full of fucking cowards who shit themselves at the first mention of snow - no matter how pathetic an amount it always is.

2 inches of snow and Dublin falls apart. Schools closed (90% of the kids at our local school are a ten minute walk away, tops). Most buses stopped and half the tram routes. Trains are still working and that’s about it. It really is pathetic and we’re not even supposed to have had the real snow yet.

I'm in the Met Office 'red warning' zone. It's pretty fucking brutal, well over a foot of snow, several feet drifts and it still hasn't stopped.

Back in 76 when I lived in South Devon, the snow in the field next to our house reached the top of the telephone pole.
The roads were cleared on one side and there was a 12ft wall of snow as you drove along.
This is just slightly above average...wtf.
