Seriously cold in London. Very severe windchill as well. Actually going to hit 0 out there if it hasn't already. Madness.

It's snowing here in Newcastle :)

With the current trend of smilies for everything we probably are due (and need) a jealous post-rating.

BUT WE COULD JUST BRING BACK THE OLD SMILEYS EH?

It snowed overnight here in Herts - just a very light covering and nearly gone now - just a bit left on my car.

It's only a matter of time before I lose power here in DC. I don't really care about the missus. As a nurse she's one of the few people who HAD to go into work today and I'm worried about her driving home in the middle of the storm. I told her to just stay the night at the hospital. Let's hope she listens

An update from the National Hurricane Center suggests Sandy is now a post-tropical cyclone, and no longer a category one hurricane. Wind speeds have ticked down slightly to 85mph (140km/h).

Yet it was fantastic yesterday.

I was out walking in rural Bucks and the sun was so warm I ended up hanging my coat over one arm and just walking around in a t-shirt (note for pedants - I was wearing jeans).

Heart radio news this a.m. keeps repeating the fact that the gritters were out in the night and they spread 10 grams of salt!!!

Was in Oxford street yesterday and thought it was snowing. A bubble machine?
