So, what've you guys n' girls got planned to break this year?

Heard loads of people outside saying "Going to the gym" / "Want to lose 5 pounds" etc. So question stands?

I have a few..

1) Get down to 15% body fat. (Doable, went from 27 to 21 4 months)
2) Get nothing below 70% in final uni semester and come out with a First, not a 2.1.
3) Start saving for a place to live
4) Get my ass in order, and finally do my theory and driving test.
5) Don't go to hospital for more than 3 days at a time (<-- Will fail)

Row a million metres. Can't get my rower back until we move house though, and that could be any time from the next couple of weeks to June time, depending on when the landlords builder get's his arse in gear. so it's either a fairly easy ask or a pretty tough one. Any C2 users on here will know what I'm on about.

Become completely free of debt both personally and for my business.

Do at least one triathlon.

Hmm, lets see..

  1. Finally become debt free come May... 10+ years its taken, sheesh, stupid Credit cards and loans!
  2. Get Married..
  3. Get my first bonus in 4+ years.
  4. Take a holiday, and not just 'a week off to play games and lounge at home'
  5. Find a new house, this current ones is the suck and costs too much for what it is.
  6. Lose weight. Shift work + ease of rides=fat ass.
Start with those first, (2) is good for 6 months time, the others I am working on slowy or plan to do in 2-3 months.

Nah - if he ever gets to the top he'll find a flag with 'rynnor was here' on there - something else methinks.

Run 365 miles in the year. Should be a doddle with training commencing for the Great North Run soon.

My New Years resolution will be 1920x1080

Saw that on facebook and laughed harder than in a long time. I just need to keep saving money to move out again so my Gadget fun is now zero.

I suggest cyanide in the punch then. One'll do the job nicely.

Personally, I'm going to try to watch a lot less porn. Weird, I know...

Last year I did a 100-mile bike ride (previous best was about 70). I plan to do that again, and many more besides.

I've cycled around 5-6,000 miles in the last 12 months, this year let's see if I can't get to 10,000.

Same as last year, +5.

Gonna read 45 books this year. Didn't make it last time, but only because of some unforeseen circumstances. Already got a good start, with 1 book down :)

Saw the basecamp, wasn't impressed with the quality of perversions, but otherwise well done.

Mine are:

- save as much as possible / curb frivolous spending; mortgage lending isn't going to get any better and me and the missus are looking to buy a house together in about 2 to 3 years time. I want to have solid chunk of cash set aside without denting my existing savings.

- bag a munro.

- visit Iceland.

No, I would have said "bag all the munros" as opposed to "bag a munro" in that case.

Oh - that sounded a bit too easy to be a New Years resolution though... Theres a kid of 10 who's done the lot...

A kid of ten who's done the lot with his parents. It's hardly difficult dragging a kid around on some mountains. Theres that 17/8 year old who's done all the peaks in the world. Hardly a feat when mummy and daddy are paying for his ass to be guided up and down these places.
