Or an interfering busybody depending on who you ask.

True.

However, it's concerning him - so for his own piece of mind he could do a cursory and small thing that could settle his own feelings.

I'm normally loathe to get anyone from the government involved in anything tbfh - the rules that they have to follow get in the way of them being able to use their own human judgement and (especially in the case of the police) often make things worse...

...however, in this case a quick word with the nurse could possibly help.

I will have a word with the nurse, just to make her aware, what she then does is up to her

Out of both genders, Men are less likely to report domestic violence.

Mainly due to pride, and this guy, as Ed mentioned is disabled, so you don't know the mental implications of their relationship, she could be the only one in his life, and if he loses her, he loses everything, not to do anything, when you know full well something odd is going on is a bit.. well.. odd?

It's not like the police are going to barge down the door and shoot them both, the nurse will investigate etc, it's just important someone outside the relationship knows.

I'd go on about domestic violence statistics that my mum bangs on about, it's pretty damn shocking tbh.

Lets not go completely paranoid here - all we know is that they argue.

Yes they argue, but its how she talks to him when they do, abuse is not just physical, it can be mental/emotional too. She says some nasty shit to him that must make him feel like crap, and he must know she is playing around when he gets taken out because i have heard him say back to her 'go to your boyfriend then and leave me be' and other stuff in the same vein

It must be distressing for him knowing there is nothing he can do

Its a form of abuse at the end of the day, and it needs to be dealt with

How thin are your walls? You can actually hear them talking?

Its not talking it full blown shouting and screaming, and my walls are shit so i can hear every word. When i first moved in, my house had been empty for a year and they had got used to having no one next door to upset. I could sit in my lounge and if i were watching the same TV channel as them, i could turn off my sound and watch TV and hear everything from theirs, perfectly clearly

Rape them, kill them, rape again, eat them then vomit them onto the floor and say "bubble". That'll show em.

I don't think you can rape a corpse, but other than that your idea is perfectly sound!

Just play really loud porn when they start arguing.
I approve of this course of action. (y)

An alternative is to do what I've done and get an electric guitar. Believe me, a guitar + 10W amp can get louder than they EVER could. You don't even have to be good at it. In fact it would be better if you AREN'T good at it! Just learn how to play harmonics and you'll drive them up the wall.

Actually i can make some half decent riffs when i plug the iPad in to the amp and fuck about on Garage Band

Next time they fight just phone the police and say you can hear screaming and shouting next door and you are worried that someone is going to get hurt. They will have to turn up and do a risk assessment if they think there's abuse they will do the referring etc.

Also if something does happen you just claim ignorance and say they were an odd couple who you had no dealings with. Simples.

Different type of thing but my downstairs neighbour has opened up an old fireplace and everytime she uses it we get a heavy smell of smoke. I've complained, she's a stupid thoughtless bag.At least 2 fire officers have told me to ring 999 when it happens and get the fire brigade out. They reckon after it's happened a couple of times she'lll never light it again. Not that I've tried it but maybe if you rang 999 every time and the police actually came out, maybe she'd get the message.

yeah lets waste the emergency services time for some stupid bint :s what a silly thing to suggest. but smoke inhalation is no joke so I guess some authority should get involved..does seem a little overkill to get the police/firemen involved.

also, when you say at least. do you mean possibly more have told you? :D

lol

That and if you smell smoke you might get your place filling with CO much more ofa threat as it kills silently and without setting off smoke detectors.

I wouldcall tem out. Better safe than dead IMO.
