How come there can be 4 greycon alts in 4fins group with 20 ppl on list??

4 lvl 50s PLing thier grey alts when others want room to exp the way u are supposed to?

Isnt it better with a lvl 45 chanter playing his main then a lvl 50 with a lvl 30 NS add?

Doing it like this means new players on hib/pryd will have a VERY hard time leveling to join the hibbies in emain.

I hate to say this, because I too don't find powerleveling at popular xp spots too clever.

Although, Hibernia has loads of other xp spots for higher levels, and a lot of those are much better than the ones you are thinking of (xp and dropwise)

Focuspulling has become more or less of a problem, but it's not like you can't avoid it by going somewhere else.

Try getting some groups to the less visited areas, Sheeroe or Bog of Cullen have nice spots if you know how to get there *cough*

Just because Fins or Abysmals are camped, it doesn't mean that all hopes are gone !

The question is, is it right that a lvl 30 NS take up a spot for a lvl 48 chanter for example? or for 20 other ppl waiting on list. Also this lvl 30 char is just sitting on his ass doing nothing.

I know there are other places to exp but its not much use unless other ppl close to my lvl exp there too.

Oh and another thing, there is nothing wrong with powerleveling chars BUT to have low lvl alts in a Fins group is the same as letting someone else lvl your alts for you.

Read what darmarmas said, he pretty much answeared that question. Though he didn't mention Shrouded Isles, both the Dungeon Formor, and especially Tur Suil is much better xp than you can ever get at Fins, try doing a /who suil sometimes, ppl xp there quite often.

Yup, I partly forgot about SI areas, but mainly because I know that not everyone (silly people) have the Expansion yet.


Tur Suil and Fomor are kickbutt dungeons for 40+ lvling, much better money, items etc than classic world.

Hmm if you ment the 2 Octagons who got a little bit of lvling (only 3-4 lvls) so they could be same lvl as rest of the 8 man group then I'm sorry if we waisted 2 spots for a morning (when no others were online to replace the enchanter). It was an one time thingie nothing big.

PS. there are worser people who bring there alts always there I heared...

read what bult said, noone goes there. if you get a group going there it will not last for more than a few hours. fins are constant exp with replacements etc.

khalen, no wasnt talking about them, was about the Conquest/Chosen lvl 50s i saw there that join the Fins groups and claim its thier right to invite an alt of thier choice because they are lvl 50 and are oh so helpfull and do enough to take up 2 spots when there is 20 ppl waiting.

I believe its a generald problem that cant be blamed on a single guild, i'v seen both nolby pride, conquest, chosen, and I take it there is others aswell. The problem is that getting a bunch of people to see that while sitting in list you dont get exps and you could just aswell be killing black wraiths in the bog (remember they drop book), or warshades in sheeroe. But once you get people outs its no biggie ... normaly because there will always be someone saying "oh this isent as fast as 4fins" ... eh its not but you dont get 20mil times 4 here you get 3 times 30mil. Now do some math.

I dont mind using the 4fins as a exp spot, like its said its a nice and easy way and the loot is also quite good. I meen 16 gold for a diamond is okay - Hell I wont mind using Darkness Falls as an exp spot I just have bad memories of that place since I always end up dead (last time we had just pulled a few mahrs when 5 middies did MEZZ & ROOT on us, they killed us and then the mahr's took them out )

Any way, if you want to powerlevel try thinking of the rest of the realm, becasue you might have a level 50 char (hell you might be pl'ing your 5 for all I know) but the little level 42 blademaster might not have a single level 50. And he might not know where to get exps other then the popular places, and he migth decide to leave the hole thing. Put in the end it would be better for the realm if we had two persons with level 50 chars insted of just one guy with 5 chars at level 50. Maybe the powerleveling people should get the head out of the basket and think alittle about the selection of their exp spots.

When i powerlevel alts on exc i usually do it solo, i think its too much to ask to let others PL your chars that bring nothing to the group.

I get the chanter if they ask me to if not I group with Cutie.
And if I'm up early, and I'm bored, I make the group, and let non 50's in. So usually I'm the only lvl 50 there pulling, having 2 other 40-45 chanters pbaeing, 2 healers and rest ns or ranger or tank or what ever.
I'm on the nice side here, I actully let tanks in, unlike other chanters who only want mages and healers.

Seems to be alot of mana enchanter band wagons, usally have focus groups, or pl alts,

In the end i got so fed up with soloing as it was so hard for my Hero to get a group, i left to join Hibernia on excal, and started a Bard this time..

People to blame are the ones to lazy to make thier groups imho.I have been invited to 4 fins spot many many times only to help out coz they cant get a mana mage....so its not only down.I do feel sorry for those who dont get spaces but its usually whoever gets up earliest gets the spot.Also i think players guilds should run xp grps for those at lvl 40 + to SH for example.I had to solo most of my lvls up till lvl 44...only then i got a fin group.What goes around comes around in this game so if everyone helped out a bit more hib would be a happier place.

The problems really only started with the influx of Excalibur players.

Not saying all of them are complete pricks, as I get on really well with most of them. But some of them really make you wish you could turn the server into PvP for a bit.

I have never been pwr lvled, for more than 1 bub at the end of a lvl , if u can count a red con grped with u "pwr lvling", but i get intensely annoyed when some noobs enter the game, go into corus and sit there til lvl 50. Lvling a NS to 41 had been hard enough for me, and the onyl reason i got this far is cos of great friends, and a amazing guild. i would say weeweres in corus are camped more than fins, by powerlevelers, but this shouldnt put u off. i didnt for me, and dammit im not put off the fact that i have another 9 whole lvl's to go dammit!

I've been plevling my mentalist since level 1.. but so what?? Go xp elsewhere.. with focus pulling the need of tanks is as much as the need of a rouge.. no wonder ppl want 50 chanter with alt more than a tank.. try getting groups with a nightshade/ranger and you'll get the picture..
