tbh, think you need to beat yer mate around the face with a wet fish..im currently running around in some pretty shitty gear with only 44+4 CS and doing far less dmg than when i had +8

If you use a lot of CS styles, which i can imagine you do, then you need to cap it for sure (atleast i would do that). The higher CS, the higher style dmg you do and loosing 11 points in it is quite a lot.
