Film Nice! Piranha 3D :D

Am quite looking forward to this, was a huge fan of the book and original film and this one has done the whole revamp rather than remake thing with the fish being prehistoric left overs...so in effect, dinosaur piranhas \o/

Not got a bad cast list, nice to see Richard Dreyfuss getting back into aquatic creature features after so long; and looks suitably bad enough to be enjoyable.

Used to work at a petshop that had a few piranhas... had to leave them in thier own little tanks for obvious reasons

Used to scare the hell out of me when I had to go in there to turn the lights off last thing at night - used to look like they glowed

No doubt if I ever watch this I'll spend half the film hiding behind the sofa with my hands over my ears

lol there was a pacu (big vegitarian relation of the bitey ones) in the local sealife centre that swallowed a mobile phone and used to ring periodically for a bit till the phone died.

Don't worry Dukat I shall protect you from biting swimming things with my lightsabre!

Review time!


Went to see this last night and certainly an enjoyable movie, there's a great nod to Jaws in the opening sequence, lots and lots of topless women and graphi gore and grossness...the acting isn't brilliant but it's no steven segal movie, so it's bearable and the sheer magnitude and delivery method of the of carnage (and some very sick comedy) made this a really good fun film to watch.

I have to say though, Jaws put me off swimming in the sea and between this and lake placid I think if I ever have to go in water i'll stick to my bath...and hope I don't ge eaten by a spider.
