While its boring that the server zones crashes and all that its something that isnt too suprising...I would say 90% of those that make new toons choose SI capitals and everyone clicking chests, glowy balls(!), testing RA's and duelling then I aint suprised it was gonna be this laggy...will probably stay like this tonight with everyone hammering the login server. Say 300 out of maybe 500 albs try to hang around their SI zone then Im sure its just a matter of time before the servers goes boink.

For once I dont think GOA or the gamemasters is to blame.

All the Gorre zones except for the frontier zones are running on old machines. I'd recommend varying your starting position and logging into the capital city or one of the starter towns close to it rather than contributing to the population which is causing the SI zones to crash.

I'm willing to bet you selected SI as the starting location of your toon and as the zones are crashing under the load, it's not letting you log in. Try creating a toon in the classic zones, should be ok (until everyone reads this and rushes there causing the classic zones to crash over and over...).

Gold and Glory can also be found:

in the captial cities of each realm
at the entrnce to DF for each realm
at each of the Border Keeps

The chests are only in SI for the moment, will add more elsewhere tomorrow.

General advice: once you've got your char all geared up and ready to go, port to the NF zones asap. Don't test in the SI zones, you'll only be helping to crash the zone. If you want to duel, go to the NF zones and do it there.

Probably means 1499 regular players are logged in and the last spot is reserved for a GM.

yah. Lag just got better of me. it seems kool and im sure when its on the proper servers and all buggs are worked out it will be great. just a shame the test server is so laggy cos means that it not gonna be as accurate an experience imo.

For those having problems with the instructions on how to get to Gorre:

Copy C:/Mythic/ToA (or whatever you've called it)

into C:/Mythic/ToA_Test

download Gorre.zip from this link

unzip it into C:/Mythic/ToA_Test

use windows explorer (window key +E) to navigate to C:/Mythic/ToA Test and right click and drag camelot.exe to your desktop.

Select "Create Shortcuts here".


doubleclick the new shortcut.

it's a beta to see how well the NF server can handle it and to see if there are any problems with the game which don't show up in smaller test runs

why on earth would they fork out a massive amount on a new server just for people to play on it for 2 days and go "ooh new RAs"

Camelot and Si crashed... A pain to find trainers now, the ToA trainers outside hall of heroes won't let me become a wizard, just tells me i have to seek my training elsewhere.
