Copy your Toa directory and put those 2 files there replasing the pre-existing ones. Then run Camelot.exe from that directory.

Now, having solved that, Goa give bandwidth to download that extra patch. I feel I'm back on a dial-up!!!

Connecting to the test server
To participate in the beta test you must download and install these files in your TOA directory. These files will enable you to connect on Gorre.

Can't install them as they are .DAT files, so how you get through that?

Even if you are running ToA you need to make some changes to update.dat and login.dat as per the instructions given in the link above before you are going to be able to see Gorre as a server option

The .dat files you can just as easily open and then copy paste however please remember if you intend to keep playing your cutomary server as well as participate in the beta you will need to maintain both versions of the files as the new ones will not allow you to log into the normal servers.

Finally create a shortcut pointing to the "login.dat" and "update.dat" file you have installed.

For those having problems with the instructions on how to get to Gorre:

Copy C:/Mythic/ToA (or whatever you've called it)

into C:/Mythic/ToA_Test

download Gorre.zip from this link

unzip it into C:/Mythic/ToA_Test

use windows explorer (window key +E) to navigate to C:/Mythic/ToA Test and right click and drag camelot.exe to your desktop.

Select "Create Shortcuts here".

doubleclick the new shortcut.

You can either copy the files into your test directory and overwrite the ones that are in there already or you can open the new ones with a text editor such as Notepad and copy/paste the contents into the exisiting files.

As I write this (18:30 CET) Gorre is full. Go to the server select screen (by choosing 'no thank you' as a quick login choice) and if there are more than 1500 people on Gorre, then it won't accept new connections.

Dont worry, u aint missing anything. The lag is so bad its unplayable. Im back onto normal server after only half hour of testing.

sort out the 10 second lag delay on gorre and i might carry on testing, can't do bugger all until you can play smoothly.
