When I first heard about the musical episode I groaned, but gave it a watch because....well it's Star Trek. And was I wrong. It's an amazing episode that I can't stop laughing about. It's just so brilliantly stupid and funny and charming. SNW is the best Trek series since DS9.

I even actually liked one or two of the songs! Especially the Nurse Chapel one.

They need more interesting stories, the episodes would be half as long if they weren't constantly peppered with recaps of the romantic entanglements.

Have to agree here. Not sure if it is me but I wish the Borg or species 927? make an appearance, it's just getting "meh, shoot fucking things ffs".

Edit:
Before the nerds correct me, I have no fucking idea of the timelines for the birth of the above two races so don't bother.

The Star Trek: SNW musical episode is absolutely fantastic television. The Klingons are chef's kiss.

That is a hill I would die on.

I usually avoid musicals like I avoid slamming my balls in a car door.

That final episode, though, fuck me.

Best thing since The Wire.

I like strange new worlds but that episode was shit, as was the crossover with lower decks, which works in it's own right and doesn't need to be woven in here

I thought the musical episode was a nice attempt but they didn't smash it out of the park. I thought the lower decks thing worked well (and I don't really like lower decks).

Had some time to kill so caught up on Season 2 of Foundation. It remains a not very faithful adaptation of the books but all that Apple budget is visible to see and for what it is, it is certainly an improvement over the first when it comes to overall consistency. It's still a very mixed bag, some good (occasionally very good), some meh, but nothing as truly god awful as all those Terminus sections in the first season. Anything to do with Empire are still clearly the best parts and it's probably worth a watch for those sections alone, Demerzel may even outshine Brother Day this time around.

Not finished it but sort of yeah agree. It still annoys the piss out of me but is good in it's own right.

If they'd just written something similar and not abused the foundation thing then I'd have more sympathy. But still watching...

The Continental on Amazon Video.

The soundtrack alone makes it worth the watch.

Aye. That's actually why we put it on. Worth the watch. Not finished it but it's deffo entertaining.

Very much a guy thing. The woman/wife is more a fan of the music than the show

Might watch it later once all the rugby has finished and I have completed my work on FH Towers.

I think this show went under the radar for many since it came out at the same time as Covid kicked off. Lots about modern technology, quantum computing, even some quantum physics. Very reminiscent of the Writer/Directors earlier film Ex Machina, so if you liked that you should like this. Though the lead actress seems to think she's still a robot from that film as her acting was by far the weakest element.

Upload season 3 on Prime. Is good.

Loki S2 on D+. Is good.

Gen V on Prime. Is good.

Sinner on Netflix (S1+2, not 3, 4 is okay) is.

I've not watched the other seasons. I didn't know it was still going on. Are they worth it?

BTW - anyone bothered watching Yellowstone?

Fargo is fucking amazing. Season one will get you hooked immediately.

Season two has Hanzee Dent, who is one of the best characters you'll ever watch.

Um fucking lol at Gen V. First episode, the bird and the cock. I just sat here and chuckled wishing that was me lying there!
