New Alliance on MId/pyd

I dont really think it matters how many allainces you have, mid have already proved they are an organised realm /bow. In Alb there arent too many alliances and information passing is still not always that good.

As for /as thats defined usually by the purpose of ur alliance and teh guilds within it.

Certainly in our alliance chat is relaxed people joke about by its spam free when the realm is defended key RvR info is passed. Its relaxed due to the guilds that are in it.

Imo a guild is worth having in an allaince when u can trust them, rely on them and you enjoy playing with them.

Thats just my 2 cents.

1. It is a "scientifically" proven fact that Midgard alliances have anything resembling good communication.

Bollocks. The word eventually -does- get around, most of the time, but thats just brownian motion - people being in groups with people from other guilds/alliances and some of them passing info around if they feel like it.

I specifically remember Dozigden assuring me when NE broke off from Nemesis that establishing clear lines of communication would not be much of a problem. Its now what, a year later? Still hasnt happen. Public chatgroups and rising cg limit to 200 helps alot tho.

2. Skip bashing Blej maybe? He's one of the few people who actually still uses our /as to its intended purpose.

I dont think theres a communication problem at all. I have no problems getting hold of the people I want when I want to. Is /who that hard to use??? What EXACTLY do you want different to how the realm works now? trying being constructive for once...

I find it highly amusing that the person here making the most noise about fragmented alliances is probably the main contributor to why I pulled SC out of the One Big Alliance in the first place - and I know lots of people bashed SC for killing that alliance by being the first large guild to leave - but as has been stated already, it wasnt really an alliance anyway, just a big excercise in banging my head against a brick wall.

as ironlung has said already thanks for all the nice posts , i have been reading BW long enough you cant post without a jumped up numpty , turning it into a whine or a moan post so them others dont bother me in the least .

as for the guild names and alliance names , people have different views on what is funny good or suits them , fun is the main aim of both myself and ironlung and this is reflected in the way we run our guilds and how we will run our alliance , right down to the names .

everybody has different ideas about what is fun and how daoc is played to be most fun for them , it does not mean that my way of doing things is any better or worse than how bjel runs Bad Omen , we like it one way and they like it another , if we could all just relax and let people play the game as they want , there is no rule that says /as .. has to be used only for rvr , there is no rule that healers must heal in fact i know loads who dont <looks over at gupeh>

the only thing i would say is i will be over the next few weeks trying to get names of GM`s and officers in alliances and guilds so i can pm people for info help or things i have planned . so if you are a GM officer alliance leader etc plz post a main char i can get hold of you so i can get a fiar idea of who leads what .

also we have 2 guild in our alliance and we have set a max of maybe 6 guilds for the alliance so that say 4 more guild spots open if you have any interest in joining our noob realm rank 1 alliance then PM Hoden or Ironlung or pm any guild char and ask for an alt of either of us , if we is not about we will get back to you

1 Alliance was far better. The game is about fun and watching the Nemesis AS was 100 times better than this years UK Big Brother.

The problem was with only 1 tree the fight at the top was funny unfortunately the person who organised every relic raid was the one with the least original idea. All mids get to hadrians at 23:00 then we walk to the relic doors without takng any keeps and bitch we have spies when 300 people get to said relic keep 1hr later to find an army of albs waiting. The frustration of that was far outweighed by the open discussion on AS blaming anything and everything.

The only thing I will say is the best raid that I joined to attack the hibs was organised by the same person. Whether other alliance leaders had a say in that I dont know but there is definately room for alliances where some social banter is permitted between guilds. Seems Noone has the appetite for raids anymore might as well make use of your own IRC alternative.

Actually, Hibernia has 1 big alliance with 21 guilds in it and we hardly have any problems The other, bit smaller alliance has 15 guilds in it without too many problems i think

for you farathorn_nexus, i was told also that BO was in emain but this was when albs tried second RR, first RR i was online and i went asap to gralla to defend. But you most know this also most of the ppl in BO rather want str relics then power relics, but ofc have all 6 would be even nicer.

And for someone didnt find the msg again, yes i play this game with other ppl that play midgard etc.. But i dont like zerging simple as that. And tbh i think if those ppl try to run 1fg with good balanced group and learn if u die what u did wrong if u died, and then get better and better would have alot more fun also.

But thats my view of things atleast.

I think Hodens point is that if you meet say 2 fg of random albs/hibs, you'd rather have a go at them with the group you are in then telling the cg: "2 groups of hibs close to amg, could use backup" or whatever.. But then if you die to that group you expect that someone comes to ressurect you.

And about the zerging part, when ganking groups are running around a random group of none hardcore players (read: people that don't have time/want to form balanced gank group). After a Random group 1 gets ganked by hib "uber group" they meet Random group 2 that has been killed by the same people, so instead they go together and live longer, and may even have a chance of killing that "uber group". Or maybe, they are running with the guild and think that we are the same guild, everyone is welcome to join up for a bit of fun realm vs realm.
