Necro's stop being selfish!

Today i was hunting as normal, but today i hunted with level 30-38 players so i wasn't getting much experience. Anyway we went to Lyonesse and went to hunt near-ish the farmers. We bumped into 2 level 37 Necromancers that were leveling on the mob's we wanted, anyway the mobs we wanted spawn every few seconds and there's enough mobs there for at least 2 groups if not 3. My group was a full group so we started to pull some mobs only 3 at a time, wasn't interfereing with the Necromancer's at all as they were still getting constant pulling because of the rapid spawns, then i get a msg from one of the Necromancer's telling me that it's there hunting place. I replied saying that there's more than enough for everyone. 5 minutes later we were still pulling but this time the Necromancer's were sending their pets to attack our pulls i.e. stealing experience. We asked them lots of times not to and a few times they shouted out "Our hunting place!". So we were forced to move somewhere else unless we wanted to have a tug of war. Necromancer's i know you want to be the first to 50 but stop being so selfish!!!!!! You probably already have level 5o characters there's absolutely no need to steal experience from level 30-38's!

when i solo(not very often all of a sudden)and ppl steal my kills i let it go first time then i get angry then i get pissed off and challegne them to duels if i win they piss off they win i piss off and ive only lost 2 duels 1 to theodoric(uber blocking ass) and rowen the friar so duel um and whoop there asses

for some ppl its a race , for some its just kewl exping
i know who your talking about and i think they were wasting there time because the mobs were only yellow/orange and like you know they were exping with 2
so that would be bad exp

i wdinged lvl 33 in 2days and 5hours but thats from solo'ing and exping with another necro on unpopular spots

I would agree, but from knowing how fast a necro can kill a yellow con mob first hand and still have 0 downtime then 2 necros could prolly clear a whole spawn spot in no time at all, even if they were yellow/orange mobs - no downtime so xp is good. Saying this I can't comment on the original thread as I don't know the whole story.

Pity that a entire group can't duel another group, i would have happily duelled them for the area but they wouldn't have gone even if i had won.

Yup i find it pointless leveling too quick, especially if leveling interferes with the other people that you have to play with. The highest level is 50, you can't go over it so i don't see why people are in such a rush to get to it as 3/4 of the quests will all be too low for them to be any type of challenge

If they attack your pulled mob after you pulled it it is against CoC. Say that if they do it again you will appeal them through RightNow. If they do, then just do it. Let everyone in your grp log for a while to appeal them and then come back and just pull again.

Sharing is sadly a word that some people in this game just don't understand. What they don't realise is that it will actually enhance their gaming experience if they share a spot with other people than if they camp a spot to the exclusion of others. Sure, they might get xps faster, but at the expense of any sense of community. And its the interaction with other people that gives an online game any real value. If all someone wants to do is xp and level as fast as possible then they might as well disconnect from the internet and go play a one-player rpg. But I guess thinking of an online game in terms of a community is just an old fashioned view now...

I myself have a now lvl 37 necromancer all from solo play I went down to the danoin clerks near where you mentioned in your post and was outpulled by another necro who was then grouped with 3 other classes who came after i was there already downside was they where using a cabalist to debuff and a wizzie to aoe .

This is by all means not the only occasion dunters equally bad im standing around the back near water pulling them that spawn that side of aquaduct and another necro is pulling from this side when the other far more populated side ran out.

Also i was pulling sea hounds and a higher level came stopped and killed all the hounds in the area they where only yellow to me as it was then promptly bugged off.

I know several of these peoples mains and have as such bit my tongue but frankly it s a bit rude

ive found this on several occasions that certain old spots for exping have been overrun by necromancers so ive now buggered off to an empty place for now and leveling much slower.but its a damn sight more relaxing.

So please dont label all necromancers as being selfish its just a select few who are in some form of race either with another or them selves who forget that when they bought the game the mobs didnt just come with there particualr copy.

Sorry the reason i said Necro's is because since SI's launch this has happened 3 times with different mobs, the incident today was the biggest cause it was two necro's doing it to us.

That’s hardly selfish

Selfish is a lvl 46 cleric named joi stun pulling a nymph groove at primetime and telling my group of lvl 8’s to go somewhere else ;p

Sure being a camp hogger is annoying, but there isn’t much that you can do, but of they start attacking your legitimately pulled mobs get the appeals on there ass, im sure the they would like to lose there lvl 37 necros ;p

If someone pisses you off like this in game do what i do.

Tell them in a /tell to "FUCK OFF!!!"

Then add them to the Ignore list so they cant reply.

they then Log their countless level 5 alts on to tell you what a cunt you are. Mean while you keep adding their alts to ignore whilst getting loads of XP cos the little twats arent there KSing you

When they come back, you hit every mob they pull and laugh at them when they die

Im glad you appreciated my advice, at least i managed to help someone with my infinite words of wisdom and advice.

tbh what is the race to be first Necro.. and why are most the higher lvl necros all got a cleric thats lvl 50 stuck to em?? cant you guys learn the class and progess at a normal rate? why does it all end with power lvl must be first

share and share alike imo...i used to h8 cabbies comming to gobb hill in lyonesse and havin a go at all the gobbs at prime time, alot of the gobbs would not b killed and return to their spawn and when a full group then pulled a few of them their xp was poo.i c their reason for it , gr8 for them but sometimes there were 3-4 fg of people campin that spot.i always felt they should do it late at night when it would not disturb so many peoples' xping


as far as 'racing to lvl 50' goes ...go for it dudes just dont do it at peoples' expence as it is rude, childish ,wankerish and most importantly it does the opposite of bond us albs together which imo is most important for RvR
lvling is fun at times but i like RvR and that is why i bought DAOC instead of EQ, the faster i can get my chars to 50 and start to get RPs the better

Being one of the necro's involved here I thought Id give you guys a few facts.

1. Both of us ( the necros) had been in that spot for over 4 hours before these guys turned up.

2. We where clearing the spot and having downtime before they came so the spot could not handle more than us already.

3. They did'nt even bother to ask if we had the spot camped just turned up and started pulling every mob in sight.

4. I or the other necro didnt intentionaly leach mobs. anyone thats played a necro will tell u its not like a normal caster once u tell ur pet to cast u cant sit or move or anything to cancel the cast. its just gonna happen and as these guys where pulling all available mobs at once you have a damn good chance we are already casting on one.

5. The only time we said it was our spot was when they decided to insult us after an acidental leach from one of there full spawn pulls. we didnt ask them to leave, i would have been quite happy for them to stay but as i said in 4. when necros are casting on mobs u do get the accidental leach there isnt much we can do about it.

6. We arn't being PLed. its not like a cabby / sorc camping the tangler spawn. we are soloing the best way we know how. what would you suggest necro's do, intentionaly slow down there exp/hour because we're killing too many mobs. ????


Necro's have very few spots to level solo. we have to have large spawns that are spirit vunerable with good LOS that spawn quickly to make soloing better than grouping. if u want to avoid necro's then its easy to find another mob to pull. its not like we're taking one of the main exp camps eg tanglers / tree's etc

Just for info. no Im not racing to be the first 50 as most other high lvl necro's arnt. we racing to get high enough to waste chanters before the LOS patch comes in REVENGE WILL BE MINE RAH!!!!!!!

Regarding the ego part of the post..
Worst guy i encountered was a cabbie claiming the entire gobbo tree spawn was his and I was slowing him down by pulling from there too and should go away.

2. The spot was spawning everytime everything was killed, we were taking about 5mobs per spawn, about 10mobs spawned each time, so shared between 8 people there was 5mobs, you have 5mobs to share between your two people.

3. Erm, your meant to ask before you hunt in a spot that spawns so fast?

4. I know that once you cast you can't stop it, but the fact that mobs that were mezzed/stunned/rooted and were right next to us was casted on well after we had mezzed/stunned/rooted them, and also some mobs that weren't casted on at all were attacked by your pets... both of those is leeching.

5. Wrong, we had not insulted you or anything until you told us to "FO our place" after you had leached 2 times on us and i had told you to stop leaching.
