in 1.65d or something, con dex and quick will transfer to pet .

my question now is::

i have read melee resits son't transfer..

will this change in a patch?

and what stats currently transfer to pet :)


it's for a SC set :)

hope to hearing from ya thx

Read the newest patch notes, Melee Resists will now transfer to pet ;)

Currently only intelligence and magic resists transfers to pet which sucks, but we will be uber again after 1.65 ;p

If your wanting to do SC config for now, you may as well just cap what works now. Don't bother with melee resists/con/hits/qui/str.
Will be like 6years before we get 1.65 anyway, then you can make a new SC set, as cloth and SC ain't that expensive anyway ;)

I take the other opinion that you should go for a MP set and Cap everything that will work in 1.65 now. Its not going to degrade at all even if we have to wait 3-4 months for it.

well, i won't have to worry about the costs :)

but that's my idea also , cap it all now and enjoye later.

Just a note + hits will do nothing much for a necro even with the current 1.65d new patches (once you lose your pet in rvr you are as good as dead, hide recast full hp :p )

Well all theses new fixes make necros more playable,
But they still haven’t fixed why necros suck in rvr,

Chainable cc (also each cast at FULL duration),
99% crits on pets,
low pet level = caster food (especily the new nasty bolts),

Melee has never been a problem for necros thx to lifetap4tehwin (even a dservant spec heal over time is awesome), it’s the cc and spells that need fixing.

But needless to say it’s nice to be thought about,

p.s 1.62 current necro transfer stats are, Int, spell resists, and dex works well for necro casting (shade not pet)

If your talking about natural resistance and ra’s such as aom.

Only your chars racial magic bonuses transfer along with + items, most of the necromancer ra’s are bugged and aom doesn’t work for the pet I am lead to believe

Best way to take things with a necro atm is to accept that nothing works. Racial resistances don't transfer. If you need to know what transfers check out the necromancer forums on VNboards.

not 100% sure but I think +hits transfers to the pet too - at least my necro on Pendragon has very few +con but quite a bit of +hits - and every time I summon my pet it's about 10% hp down. Might just be due to any +con from chargen...

Pets are summoned with 'standard' HP total as before, but a second or 2 later the 'buff' effect from the necros +con items takes effect.

Back to the real topic- 1.65 is still in progress. May as well hold off a couple of weeks to see which necros changes actually go live (and whether any more are made) before designing any SC templates.

And Dead Guru - thats a pretty terrible SC setup. Where to start with explaining whats wrong .......

What's wrong is going from the easiest class to cap everything necessary to one of the most annoying to do it :(

That staff. If you're farming/PL'ing with the necro, you're throwing 2p+ out of the window every week. 30.5/32 imbues on chest, +str ;)

Well someone clever hurry up and come up with a good SC template so I can 'borrow' it plz.

Got money burning a hole in my pocket but not the time nor inclination to work out a decent template.

With the money you can make as a necro tho it seems sensible to make a template that works 'now' rather than 'later' and then go buy a new one once the patch comes into effect.

wel the staff thing, i know it is quit a piece, but 99 qua sticks are pretty easy to construct i think...

dunno how much exactly, once had a good lgm fletcher that made em and they were pretty cheap

and, hehe, what's 2p for a farming machine ;-)

All Ive done was a 5 min "can I cap everything in 1.65" test - and it seems I can easily enough. It was probably better than whats pasted here - if Id bothered keeping it ;)

Almost every armour part is very unevenly imbued - with 1 gem being +1 stat or +2 resist. Since the imbue cost of the highest gem is doubled - your just throwing points away with this setup.

Jewellery isnt the worst choice - but Oily Rag? Ugh. The belt is terrible, there are improved DF rings in 1.64 but your still using old version, the upgraded (1.63) epic ring is worth considering, there are better bracers around (ogres might bracer might be usable here, or veiled bracer of eyes, or the perfection bracers, or .....), etc

Using a MP staff is something everyone would rather do without. Ok so necros can afford it, but they just dont last long enough to be worth the cost. 99% crafted staff I could put up with (cheap enough to replace), but replacing MP staffs at 2p-ish often isnt going to happen.

Thats a slightly longer version of "where do I begin". When 1.65 is final Ill give a decent template a try. Unlikely to be of interest to anyone else since Ive a few decent random items that will prob be used ;)

Maybe this list of new DF items in 1.65 will help a bit. The upgraded version of the ring for sure, and theres a better belt there too (a few replies down) if you cant find anything else.

Remember that +hits does nothing for a necro (1.65 test patches released so far included) - so take this off of armour and try to avoid jewellery with +hits. That might leave space to sort those melee resists out a bit.

i know the belt thingy, but tbh ogres might quest..... tssss beeing a one man guild and since most descnet event require a Fg to participate i'll be able to get it in the year.... never.

then veil bracer eye... i quoted that to a mate of mine IG, i'd rather get items that are generaly obtainable and are obtained from class quests,, not by traiding but make something that is generaly usable by every necro

Do you really need +11 to Death Servant and +3 to Painworking also? its not like you use those spells for offensive purposes (assuming your a Deathsight Necro), also 50 Death Servant focus lvls isn't needed either, that would leave some room to sort those Melee Resists out, as imo they are more important than the magic resists ;)

But then again as I said, they haven’t fixed the things that make necros suck in rvr so just don’t bother and keep pharming till they do

(well I guess with the new fixes necros will kick stelthers asses (cept infs dragonfang etc) but then they wont get targeted either so you wont be killing them)

I’m a ray of sunshine as ever :p

ps on that template you forgot +qui. Qui will effect speed of attack and faster pet = more spell damage faster

no class is perfect in rvr.....

work your way around the buggs, i personlaay think necros are ace in rvr

Quickness will make pet swing faster - allowing shade cast spells (lifetap etc) to cast faster.

Since shade can cast faster than abomination can 'proc' them capping qui seems essential to me.

you'll see that +11 sight +11 servant is worth while

and since i can't delete nor replace the +3 from the gear crushed mammal, that'll have to do

when it comes to HITS, until i have some descnent info on wether it helps or not :).... best template atm
