Mine has to be leveling 22-28 at snow crabs in Uppland, think thats probably the best place I met new freinds, and had a damn good laff with some great people.

Going on a keeptake with my entire guild and have like 10 level 50's and 20 non level 50 ... before the keeps got the level system. It took aaages and my ickle Avalonian Cleric died over and over again but the 50's were patient and kept rezzing the little ones and we ended up taking the keep.

That was fun!

I miss the days when no-one knew what each spec did at higher lvls, and rangers we're considered nice additions to the group, and blue/green cons were the only way to lvl my void eld. I miss not knowing what was over that hill there..or accross that bit of water. I miss the days when /who level 50 usually produced 0 matches..and if you did geta match..it was like spotting a legendary creature.

One thing i dont miss is losing 1 bub on every death no matter what lvl you are...

Getting a Peice of Twilight Armour in Spindel when it was the best armour in the game for Midgard.

Most of the rest is still available if you set out to. My last few alts (all bar one now >20), have all not been /levelled. Much more fun to learn in those early levels, gradually getting each new ability. Mind you, I do cheat and group with friends, and of course anyone else I came across.

I used to really enjoy pre DF times to be honest. No spellcrafting, no ToA uber leet gear.... The game was based a lot more on skill then than how much money you have and how many free days you have each week for ML's.

Yggdra Forest was my fave levelling spot. Log your main by the keep while you level in a group... yes a group, not your level 50 SM with your mates buffbot and his leech! Many a time I was at the undead circle when our group got wiped and we logged our mains and ran around playing hunt the baddies It was such a rush before Skrad hit 50 too: 4 level 30s trying to take out one of the nasty hibbies before they would nuke us to tiny pieces. Now and then we even succeeded

Yeah, there's better graphics and shit now, but if I want realistic landscape, I'll look out my window! Top flight RvR seems a bit of a drag now and I really cba getting ML 27 only to find it's been superceded as soon as I get it by catacombs super dooper ability level 395. I know you didn't ask for what you hate most about the game now, but the two are both pretty much linked.
