:eek7: think this over first! Are you sure thats what you wanna do?!?!

I want to grow my hair long but when it gets medium length it doesnt gel properly and looks crap without any gel. I have the master plan of hiding it with a beanie for this reason but you aint allowed them in school! So I have to wait till next summer to complete my plans!!! Mwahaha!

I found a photo of myself when I was about 16ish the other day. That was the first time I'd ever grown my hair, and in the photo it was around that medium lengthy stage (Which, by my fairly rough memory, seems to last about 6 months :p).

Blimey.

I looked like a caveman.

Likewise...I looked like a complete plonker with long hair. :p

Although I might try going for long hair + mega-beardo this time...it is just crazy enough to work.

Whaaa? Chicks love hairy dudes! Its like I'm all caveman and stuff and in touch with my primal basic instincts...like shagging and er, something else. I'm sure I read that in a science text book so it MUST be true!!

Heh its so true. All the girls I talk to are always saying 'I love guys with long hair' or 'Man his hair makes him look hot!' I also know 1 girl that doesnt care how the guy looks just if his long hair looks decent!!! lol

I don't agree with the view that school uniforms can help reduce bullying that was brought up earlier in this thread.
My school was pretty liberal and had no school uniform. There was very little bullying (infact I can't recall a single incident of bullying within my year). No school uniform made everyone feel more relaxed and classes were more like gatherings of friends than actual proper work. (yet we still produced damn good grade averages).

I used to be at a school that had a uniform before that and back then (and also looking back at it now) I far prefered being able to wear what I wanted to having to be wearing the same as everyone else.

I like the idea of school uniform really, though the way most schoolchildren wear it, it looks anything but smart. My 6th form college didn't have a uniform, which suited the place (no pun intended), just as it seemed natural to wear a uniform to school <shrug>.

shaving is the worst thign ever, has anyone heard about this new magic form of FACE WAXING? surely such a thing is not possible

What I've always wondered is...if you rip all the wax off in one go (might present technical difficulties), could you then turn it round the other way and hang it from your (or a less-beardy friend's) ears as a false beard? Assuming growth was thick enough?

har!

Always had long hair and goatee since i was about 17 ( through school, uni uk and Uni spain ) i go from flowing locks to skinhead and back again !!. I have really straight girly looking hair ( as said by nearly everybody i know ) the bad thing is that i get my arse felt up by blokes when im out on the piss, when i turn round and they spot the goatee i think they get a little shock, apart from the fact that im a 6.2 bad tempered scotsman.

You should be able to wear whatever you want at school/work. Although i understand you should be presentable if you face the public. I have run into a couple of problems when i have wore a kilt to work :D

/salut
