not worth it , its a version being atm pretty much, you cant do lots of stuff

No mobs iirc, but you can build together which is pretty cool imo

P.S it's "free to play weekend" until some point tomorrow, so worth giving it a go.

I'm really frustrated on one of my saves, i walked away from my spawn point and started creating my base without any markers, made it secure and had got a sweet mine going, lots of iron and i presume close to diamond (was near lava) when i died. Now i can't find my way back argh so will need to start again. Tip of the day, when you move from spawn leaver markers to show you the way (torches).

i normally build a 40ish square high earth column, and cover all 4 sides of the top few squares with torches

I fell out the bottom of my giant cube and died. Couldn't find it again as the worlds are huge. I have now started on a castle with a mine complex but I keep getting side tracked on underground cave systems.

Side tracked? try spending over an hour on a mates server exploring an expansive cave system!

I got lost many times and ended up mining my way into two other cave systems while digging for iron ore and diamonds

too fucking addictive, i'm sitting here at work thinking of what I have to do next on the server when I get home tonight.

(little trick I've found on SP is to grab one of the many 3rd party cartography apps available, it'll map out your level for you and you can "find" your way back to anything you've built)

Oh not seen any of them. What would be really handy is a tool tip for what you have mined, so many of them look very similar, I have a guide to the blocks that I pulled off the wiki but its still a bit of a pain.
