As for utterly destroyed ? Well Maybe you did. 150 defenders with caster heavy groups... Keep upgraded, etc. No way 100 mids can do anything about it. You should be thankful we tried, and we tried again, and again. We just didn't have the numbers to compete with the infamous Albs that were in Jamtland.

Except that we claimed Notts, so I know for a fact you had 160-odd on it. And there were closer to 100-120 inside. You had the doors down twice, got into the courtyard... and still lost.

I don't think that albs was beaten and suddenly said something like: Oh fokk this, going to bed, c ya.

So, we took almost ALL of your keeps before we went for excal, that took us what.. two hours? close to that..

How long would RR's remain the nicest thing in the game if we start the alarm raid culture again? What would the difference be between raiding your local dungeon or taking npc defended relics?

What makes RR's great is epic defenses or brilliant attacks, they are very easy things to do when there are no defenders.

It's the one thing that makes Excal different from all the other servers around, the fact that we have a created a primetime culture.

Errr... Arnor mate, I don't understand your point. I didn't say you shouldn't take a keep that's undefended. I said that taking a load of undefended keeps is hardly adequate "revenge" for effectively being kicked out of your own frontier for four hours, primetime. If you think different - great! I'll gladly swap kicking you out of your frontier on a Saturday night for you killing all our gaurds very early Sunday morning.

OMG albs whine alot about this.. at the time of the mid rr there were around 150(not anon ones) albs online.. so u were more than enough to defend your relics. THe hole point in doing a alarmclock rr is that u do it in a time when the opposite realm doesnt have enough online to defend, since alb had enough online this shouldnt really be considered an alarmclock rr.
Personally i dont think its anything wrong with taking keeps and doing rr earley in the morning. but maybe thats cuz thats the time of the day that im online

But seriously ... Doing a relic raid in prime time is, by far in most situations, a complete waste of time. First of all there's plenty of stealthers around to spot a very large zerg leaving here and there, so a relic raid is difficult to move unseen. And if 190 hibs are seen leaving hpk in Hadrian's that's plenty of time for 100 wizards with VP loaded to move to Excalibur. Second of all, with the 3 rams per door rule it's pretty much impossible to get inside a relic before the owners of the relic have mustered a big enough zerg to kill them off.

You need an insane amount of people to pull off a relic raid in prime time, and it needs to be highly organized. I think the odds of a success in prime time are so low that at least I wouldn't even be bothered organizing a relic raid at those hours.
