It's still far more preferable than having a chance to dual-swing . At higher lvls the amount of damage you do by using LA offsets the penalty that you have at the beginning, where as Mercs and Blademasters still rely on a "chance-to-double-swing" at higher lvls which isnt much worth tbh.

Would you rather have a chance to double-swing roughly 1/2 (although it seems to be like 1/3 even with max DW spec+ skill add+ RAs at L50 and a decent rr) or swing with both weapons at once everytime you you attack ?

er what penalty? LeftAxe is uber all the way from lvl5 on up. dmg does suck BIGTIME when ooe tho. all u need to do is keep a yellow/orange con 4.2spd double bladed axe in main hand and a who-gives-a-shit-what-it-cons 2.4 handaxe in the left and your running around laughing your head off 2-shotting greens and 3-shotting blues and even some yellows. its ridiculous. yet fun..

maybe up to L25 or so, but at 35 - 40 you wont be 2 - 3 shotting yellows as a rouge, maaaaybe as buffed troll w/o quickness... anyway LA is at is best in the low lvls it goes really cool untill ~40ish, then it is toned down a bit, yet still very nice but the damage differance between 40 and 50 isnt that great..
