I think the game is made for the control pad tbh I see no reason to bother with the mouse on this game.

No reason to bother with a mouse in a shooter?

Hilarious.

2 issues.

1. they seem to have gone BACK in evolution when it comes to firearms. original game didnt use weapon clips. you just had to be careful with the heat.

2. why the FUCK do i have to REDOCK to a planet or station i've just left?!?

1 there were too many weapons in first one tbh :p

2 it has to reload areas, you would rather it just had a black screen saying LOADING PLEASE WAIT on it ? its how it works . . .

i know it loads areas, but the original did that great "feel" wise by letting you stand in the decontamination area.

the way they deal with it now just breaks the feeling.

The gfx bugs are a bit irksome, too, but nothing gamebreaking thus far. It's an amazing game, though. I loved ME1, but this is on another level.
Although it has a lot of formulaic stuff that Bioware games have (i.e. recruit a teammate, then make them loyal by doing their side-quest), it really works well and it's obvious why they have stuck to the system.
After playing Dragon Age, this has that "Wow!" factor DA missed.

Only just passed Horizon but eh, so far the story is shit compared to the first game. It still feels good but it's more like a Mass Effect expansion than a full fledged sequel.

I'm mixed on the graphics. On the one hand, it runs superbly. My old 8800GTX is holding up 60fps at 1920x1080/4xAA/16xAF. On the other hand, the texture quality on armour is WORSE than the original game! How could they do that? So pixelated and ugly in cutscenes. Unbelievable :|

Did you play at 1080p on a 40" screen? Because the pixelation on the armour is plain as day. And I'm forcing everything as high as possible.

After posting that, I read it was done because the 360 version of ME1 had lots of pop-in for textures. Another one ruined by console development :| I expect more from Bioware tbh.

It was nice to hear Claudia Black (Morrigan in Dragon Age) and the guy who played Loghain (in Dragon Age) both back as
Quarian Admirals

because your not feeding them.

i go up between each mission and feed them.

its the same button as the one you use to get rid of the dead ones.

i had to import my lvl 47 sheperd :(

i played it - good - evil - good on one toon - for ME1 . good run was 47, evil got to 57, and got her to 59 before ME2 came out, so highest lvl was a "council died, everyone hates you"save, which i didnt want to use :(

do like the extra cash etc u get from importing saves. going to see if i can get everyone to hate me next time round :D

Looks like you might have to run through me1 again. It's quite fun keeping everybody alive and seeing what happens to them in me2.

The facial animation and texturing seems worse than Dragon Age as well, quite ugly in comparison. Characters' eyes flit about and never seem to point in the right direction

I think that's just graphical glitchings. Hopefully patchable or a codec issue?
Ashley Williams had wierd ugly crosseyes when she was doing her emotional, "I can't come with you" speech.
... which broke the immersion, really.

I just have to say the whole game was awesome from start to finish the ending was great and what a build up to Mass Effect 3. This series will go down as one of the best ever made.

played it through a couple of times now and i cant help wanting bigger areas.

theres fuck all to do in any of them once your done with the missions.

especially the citadel zone was a huge letdown.

illum was ok in size but they really need to make the zones bigger so we can explore more.

Just completed it, what a great game! The story was just fabulous ... bit annoyed at not seeing Talli's face though :p

I lost Jack on the final mission, unsure what I did wrong -- although she was one of two characters that I failed to make loyal. Is that the key?

making them loyal i -think- only effects the people for the very last bit . the group leaders need to be specific people tho

team i used to lose no1:
pipe = legion
shielding = asari
2nd group leader = garrus
escort survivors = grunt
all were loyal

Not sure how to do spoilers so I'll just say thanks ... and that I lost Jack at the very end, when you go off to do your thang.

I chose the option to carry on playing and not restart with my current level. I think I cocked up. Is there a way to restart with my current character?

Not sure how to do spoilers

Put (spoiler)Words(/spoiler) with square brackets.

On another topic, I really hate scanning planets. I don't know why, but that aspect is one which is certainly much worse than the original ME (where it didn't exist :)).
