Load Imbalancer????

i had teh pain in the ass problem of "your a scumbag who forgot his password and typed it wrong 5 times wait 15mins"

waited 15 mins like some of you guys and tried again and was even more angry,

anyways good to be back and what on earrh is a load balancer

remember guys no insults its unfair on tsabo to keep getting them

What do you mean dude? Have you forgotten your game pass or did your client patch to US?

In case a) go to www.camelot-europe.com , click on the account tab, enter your subs pass and request for a new game password.

In case b) open your ToA folder, find a file named update.dat and copy this on the existing text:

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/atlantis/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/atlantis/mpatch.dat

my password was denied saying i typed it wrong 5 times then told to wait 15 mins.

i only typed it once and after about 30 mins of waiting i got the same message.

i nearly signed up for ign forum but i resisted. i love fh pls dont ban me i will die a painful slow death otherwise

Sorry guys, there have been a few issues with the load balancer recently which causes this error to happen. I'll try and get a bit more info about it including workarounds for you.

Bahumat... if you ping forums.freddyshouse.com, what IP address does it resolve to?

(If you need help pinging, put your pc back in it's box and send it back to the supplier )

Load balancer is a liddul tool that does what its called Bahu

To explain it easy you can have a cluster(many doing same thing) of login servers and the load balancer make sure that they all work equally. [Example would be: 3 different servers for login behind balancer. Dude 1 get server 1, dude 2 server 2, dude 3 server 3, dude 4 server 1 and so on].

If the sync between them should "censored" up I guess it could end up in this kinda problem.

yeah also when you crash and the server says you logged in and refuses the login details stating your logged in etc. we got stuff like this at work kinda like when you ld in daoc and it says you logged in.

ours tho we manually log somoene off if need be.

when i pinged the window appears the goes in a split second hence it works. i cant see what ip address it resolves to as im not superman

use 'Start','Run','cmd.exe' and <enter> to open a dos window then type the ping command at the command prompt

when i do this its appearing then going that indicates its fine
