Been going through my CD collection - in particular some of my Now That's What I Call Music ones and downloading things I like on them off Kazaa for PC listening.

Some of them bring the memories flooding back :) .

Songs that I haven't heard for years which are actually very good:

  • Tanita Tikaram - Twist in my Sobriety, Good Tradition and World Outside Your Window.

Wee Papa Girl Rappers - We Rule

MC Hammer - Hammer Rap, Addams Family

    Womack & Womack - Teardrops

Technotronic - Pump Up the Jam

INXS - Mystify, Need You Tonight

Suzanne Vega - Luca, Tom's Diner

    Irene Cara - Flashdance !!!!!11111

Phillip Oakey & Georgio Moroder - Electric Dreams

    Canberries - Dreams

    Pogues & K M - Fairytale in NY

Every Fleetwood Mac song ever made

    Heart - These Dreams

    Mister Mister - Broken Wings

Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow

... and lots more. Takes me back to my childhood.

As am I. I will, however, point out that fans of It's a Sin should check out Gamma Ray's cover which is utterly excellent.

Point 1.

Was driving home the other day from London, falling asleep, which is never a good thing. So decided to play something lively that I could sing along to. My choice? "The Best Punk Album In The World Ever", glorious, reminded me of fumblings in school discos, mates parties etc. Started wondering where all my old school mates are, what they are doing ...... Finished the journey with Frank Sinatra :)

Point 2.

Recently went to the "Here and Now" concerts. Saw lots of old bands from the 80's, playing only the handfull of hits that they had, brilliant. Toyah is still very fuckable btw. (Wilcox that is not Battersby)

For her performance she wore thigh high black leather boots and a very very short leather skirt, very sexy, and full of energy.
Carol Decker looked good too, Kim Wilde even scrubbed up pretty well, she left her trowel at home.
