Leveling with someone 30 levels higher...?

Hi, my best friend plays this game, she is level 29 and i am level 10, if we were to group together as she suggested, when she killed a yellow, what experience would i get? The same as me getting a yellow? Half me killing a yellow? None? Lots? Any help would be appreciated, i realise this is not doing alot of work but at level 18 i get a spell i really want and i don't have as much time to play as my friends do =)

as for XP, would think you'd also get a yellows worth.

Why not kill something and find out?


Find another lv30'ish player, both of them kill red/purps while you loiter around. You'll make lv18 in about 5hours.


Or group with lv10s, hit some roan maidens across the river from mBeo. By lv13'ish, you're ready for the Spraggon Den... that place will easily take you to lv18 and pretty damned fast in a good group.

If your after leveling at a lightning pace then your friend must be able to kill yellow cons to them at a pretty consistently high speed, usually get around the same xp as if you killed a yellow con sometimes a little more or less depending on the true level of the mob being killed.

not sure what combination of charecters you and your freind are so cant comment on whether it would be worthwhile for you to do it or not, best way is try it

I noticed that when doing this with a lvl 24 char and a lvl 14 char the lvl 14 seems to get the xp for a yellow but the lvl 24 gets like only half of the xp... I thought they would change the fact u can lvl with a wider range of lvls?

The have increased the level spread, originally it was 5 levels difference now (IIRC) it's 8.

If you have more than 8-10 levels difference you're better off getting a group nearer your level (or Killtasking if <20)...
