My favourite CSR was the guy on the Somethingawful forums going on about how there was no problems at all with APB, the game was doing just fine etc. until the morning he arrived at the office and the door was locked because they'd gone bankrupt.

As for the actual video, it honestly looks shit and it's main selling point - the voice acted quests were god awful. I'm predicting a WAR/Age of Conan here, massive first month sales with no renewals. Sure there's some excuse for it being in beta but previous experience has taught me that nothing significant actually changes in them, this is pretty much what we'll get. A bit sad I guess, but it's not like there aren't other games on the horizon that seems to have potential, Guild Wars 2 chief amongst them.

He quit only a year or 2 ago as he got a position under the normal mythic staff and got pissed off and left

Must say that video.. I know its beta but... I dont feel that at all.

Surely everyone have to make the questing lowlevel grind to get to endgame chore because otherwise the developers run out of content fast but I figured the Sw:Tor would be more story driven and that looks like wow/lotro/whatever quest /turnin Quest do more Quest then profit system.

Im sure I could have said that about rift, but rift had something new when I played it in beta and still playing it. But now im into raiding sitting around in capital riding on the roof.

(if your a raider you know what i mean)

aside from the graphics it just looked like a direct WoW clone to me (which might appeal to some) but after playing WoW since day of release until recently I can safely say WoW clones dont appeal to me.

I honestly think it's time players abandon "but it's beta" as an excuse. We should have learned by now that no major changes happens after the game goes into beta, the basics are nailed down and looking at that video the basics suck. It has nothing to do with the guy playing being bad, but all to do with the fact that the game lacks any real depth on a game play level. Rock Paper Shotgun had a similar impression with their 48 hours hands on with the game, at level 15 they had gotten all the active combat skills their class would get - and they numbered around 4.
