Kobold SB, Your Idea About A Spec

There you go, i know alot of people are going for critblade after 1.62 but considering i am a kobold it might be better to have another spec as 2 hander is full str...

What are your best spec for kobbie sb?

I was thinking going 50 sword 50 LA 34 stealth and 14 env, great melee'er having ragnarok but quite low env

What do u think?

Hmm was thinking to raise LA as its getting nerfed so can still do LA 44(Snowsqual follower) Sword 50 (ragnarok) Stealth 34 Env 27

But im missing the PA+CD

All midgard weapons except spear, staff and H2H are pure strength based.

5spec is the way to walk with a koobie =) Autotrain him and you can be one of these 2 überspecs =) :

39la (evade/stun chain and fairly high for decent dmg), 39 weapon (just for decent dmg with weapon), 34 cs (pa+stun chain), 34stealth, 34envenom (50 effective at rr6).

or

39la, 38 weapon, 34stealth, 34cs, 35envenom (50 effective at rr5).


And ofcourse no damn swordspecs, if you want sword roll a alb, axe is the midgard way =)

Im rolling an SB at the moment too and i think by far the best options for a blade after 1.62 is still the 5-spec / soulblade

My spec is going to be something like this:

34 Stealth
39 Left Axe
34 Critical Strike
39 Axe
31 Envenom (33 if i manage to auto train stealth until 48)

im thinking of lowering envenom to raise axe a bit tho


Most people will say go Critblade after 1.62 because of the LA nerf

Well imo the critblade is good but very conditional, you really have to get the jump on someone to win, with current bugs and laggy stuff sometimes you miss your PA or whatever and now your faced with the problem of having to use anytimers, lets face it you aint gonna have much of a chance to get Hamstring off against an infil who is hitting at or near cap speed. While with the 5-spec template you can hit fast and you can get Comeback - Frosty Gaze, ok i know its harder than Dragon Fang but its still well worth it.


The advantages for using two weapons is still better than using one big two-hander after 1.62 imo

and my sb is 5spec atm but he's having a hard time against any other classes and as LA is getting nerfed i need to find a spec where i would do more dmg.

Now i came with 2 choices and its without CS :

50sword 39LA 34env 34stealth

or

44sword 44LA 34env 34stealth

basically SZ but i'd like to have ragnarok :>

Atm with the spec i have i need to do more dmg, so i need to increase weapon skill / LA and going 50sword would be great weaponskill -> reduce chance to be evaded etc..

But with ur spec it will suck too you will do pussy hits believe me ;p

Im not sure but im told sword lvl 50 speeds are quite fast compared to axe so not great as a mainhander, but again im not sure.

I would say go for a duelweild critblade spec post 1.62. Spec would be something like

Axe 44
LA 20
CS 41
Evenom 33
Stealth 35


2h critblades are poor in melle, however duelweild ones fare a bit better, and can make the most of the haste effect from the two weapons. You need the LA at about 20 + 11 items and also Duelist reflexes 2 to get over the damage penalty you get from duel weilding if you dont spec in a duel weild line. Evenom is 33 so that you can get the best debuff at RR5. Stealth will be 50 at RR5 and CS is as high as you can take it with whats left

RR6 with Dualists Reflexes 3 =

60 Axe
55 CS
50 Envenom
50 Stealth
59 LA (effective) for 89.5% Base Damage per hand

Again im not entirely sure but i was under the impression you only got the haste effect from using LA styles, so with left axe as low as 20 your going to have to rely on Ravager chain, which aint great but better than nothing i suppose, but anyway imo 39 Left axe is the lowest it should be, Frosty Gaze is well worth the points spent, even tho it is hard to pull off

Ignore the people that cry about Left axe after 1.62. Remember, it's getting fixed, not 'nerfed'.

Fixed, nerfed what ever, the fact is the damage level of left axes styles post 1.62 has changed, as such, the specs that work currently are no longer necessarily the best ones so it cant be ignored.

And yeah, solids spec does look best

Ohh and im not one to preach about fix's or nerfs, but i do consider it a fix damage wise, but it does hurt the SB since in order for him to dual wield he has to spec higher than the other realms assasins, how and however, 39 LA!!!

Hehe Siegemode, considering most SB post 1.62 will be using CS styles, i think you may wanna reconsider your "34 CS fortehwin!!!11"

Depends tbh, above 34 CS just raises your dmg cap ..the last few styles you get you are rarely going to use trust me. Wheras you could spend the points elsewhere instead.

+CS increases the damage on your normal CS styles like Garotte, Hamstring, Leaper, Creeping Death, Stunning Stab as well, imo its worth investing a few points there.

But not by a huge amount unless your going to put CS up to 44-50, and that loses you a helluva lot of spec points for other things. Depends how spread you want your spec really..me I don't think i'd ever go above 39 CS tbh
