As for all the rest of you that decided to add in chirpy comments - we shall see where I am in ten years and where you currently are. I assert the right to argue my view on a forum without people who are too stupid to argue against me trying to cause commotion. I bet half of you don't even have AS/A-Levels lmao.

It's kind of funny really, some of us may not have AS levels but certainly, when you come out of college / uni, you'll find it hard to get a job.

Everyone thinks if they have a degree they will get a high paid job, and all the rest of the crap :D

Fact is people taking degree's in shit such as Beckhams Life or some random crap like that, gets them nowhere.

Also, we may not have grades, but i've got to say, 99% of the people here are smarter than you, including Dorimor. Atleast he could hold his own arguement :D

Making money by any means?

I mean any job will pay your wages, and your life style adapts to the income so it'll pay the bills.

Of course it's better to have a real good job, good money so you can have better things. People will always scrape through life wherever they work though, my mum works in a cafe and Makro and looks after an old lady with senile (sp) dementia and we do ok for ourselves.

She grafts, she pays the bills and we all live happily ever after ;)

Just because you dont have qualifications, doesnt mean you cant make good money. I know lots of people who didnt go to college etc, who make shit loads of money, just by hard graft.

Attitude > Qualifications.

On the other hand, I also know of a few swots from school, who were also condesending twats like Bugz, who have gone on to do not aswell for themselves.

I was talking to a couple the other week, husband gone through uni etc good degree working in a business job of some kind, his wife was clever and charasmatic yet had no degree. She was telling me of how she earns a considerable amount more than him doing catering management. Granted shes worked hard enough to be offered manager of TGI Fridays for South of england a couple years ago.

Just goes to show working your way up can work just as well, all about choosing the right career for you...

there is no denying that a degree is not the means to an end for money. but there is simply some jobs you cannot do without a degree such as being a lawyer or a doctor.

its people doing things like fashion that give them a bad name imo.

I forbid you to continue this arguement and for once accept that you have lost what you tried to win.

I once used to stack shelves in a supermarket, the work was endless and the most poor, boring, worthless shithole job i've ever done.

The fucktard customers look down at you because ''you stack shelves''

Who gives a fuck, somebody has to do it....

Well, it wasn't for me. Either leave or get sacked i got told.

Aaahhh the rare bread of computer technician :p

they're not rare, the good ones are just not appreciated ;)

on the note of degrees, I used to work for IBM and the vast majority of the technicians there had degrees in Art / Geography in fact I believe one of the Project Leads had a degree in Zoo'ology... some would say he was trained to deal with animals :p

I did an Apprenticeship, best thing I ever did as its worth more than most papers people get. Shame the money was awful ;)

I use to work in a shop. When a price was incorrect we would call a member of staff to go change that ticket straight away after the first complaint and we would always let that person have it for the lower price no matter how much the diffrence was. That way you would never have more then one complaint.
It only takes a matter of moments to change a ticket and it means we were not being held up on the tills by complaints
