I dont have qualifications yet i've made engineers at work look like a fucking retards. for example...to cut it short engineer is blaming tooling for a problem...when in fact it was a machining fault...pointed this out to him an he soon fucked off with his tail between his legs.
my team leader is also apparently an engineer...but didnt even know what piston rings do....go figure lol

Perhaps I should do some research on Halsburys (which takes black letter law and has the definitive word usually on application) to figure out what happens in the real world.
I, and I would have thought you, would know that while the law may say one thing, doesn't necessarily mean it happens perfectly in the real world.

As it is, I'm drunk after being in the pub since about 2, so shall instead be researching tomorrow if I get bored.

fair do's. but you know aswell as me - case law = definitive. and personally, im in the line of prosecuting every mofo who doesnt know what it is to the letter. aint my problem at the end of the day. you should know aswell as me what trading standards is all about. at the end of the day, us who learn it are more wise in it than anybody else. so if someone else comes along claiming to be something, its obvious i will get defensive
