I love this weather. This is what summer should be like. June, July. August: clear blue skies, hot & sunny. Leaves on the trees, birds singing, women wearing next to nothing, ice cream, shorts, T-shirt, sunglasses, everyone happier. Bring it on ! I am not looking forward to fecking winter I can tell you that. Get up when its dark, rain, wind, cold, grey leaden skies, go home when its dark. Feck that. Gimme sunshine anyday of the week. I'm making the most of it. We don't get much nice weather here, so enjoy it while it lasts. IMO

Personally I feel comfortable in the 18-21 range after that it becomes some what annoying, even more so if the nights remain warm.

I like the hot weather when I'm out on my bike, or in a park or on the beach.

I hate the hot weather if I'm in my house, in my bed or at work - especially if I have to use my brain at all. It slows me down to a crawl.


Other than that, I like a nice sunny winters day with a good frost. Preferably a temperature around freezing but with still air so the sun makes you feel warmer than it is. That's about perfect shorts and t-shirt weather for me.

But in cold weather your basic motor skills get harder to do, and your thought processes fuck up. The colder it is the harder it is to think and do things with your hands. If you're too warm you don't have this problem.

Therefore it is infinitely better to be warm than cold. There was a really good Royal Institute Christmas Lectures that covered this a couple of years ago, you'd be amazed at how shit we are at doing things in the cold compared to normal/warmth.

I prefer cold generally, I love the winter...so long as it's dry.
